Made my life more comfortable and more enjoyable

Brookdale Parkplace has been very careful here, we have had very few cases of COVID, and we are tested on a regular basis. I feel super safe at this community. I am satisfied with my room, and i have a great view. I can look out at two different parks. I would recommend this community to others.

Lovely facilities, well cared for and clean, good food, 3 levels of care available. Residents seem lively and engaged, need more detail on in-house activities. Has swimming pool, car garage, small outdoor campus.

Old and unwelcome

Review originally written on A Place For Mom

All words, little action...

I still am not moved in although I’ve asked for help. The water has been chancy since [date removed]. I don’t know how much earlier it started. The hot has been changing at will from hot to cold making for some very uncomfortable showers. I have fallen getting out of the tub. They offered additional handbars but that won’t help. Have plenty. Kitchen water won’t get cold. One bathroom was working correctly and I was told how lucky I am to have 2 bathrooms that I pay for. Gets old really fast. Workmen walked in without knocking catching me undressed. No good closet space so I have purchased shelves to expand usefulness. Can’t get them installed so I still can’t unpack. Molding missing in bar area and more missing around closets. Work done is shabby and incomplete and nothing improves without repeated trips to directors and then it seems lots of talk, little action. Laundry room where garbage is disposed of is trashy and machine overflowed with no safety signs erected. One incidence had recycling overflowing, boxes piled everywhere and took several calls over days to get it addressed. Dry wall dust everywhere from unfinished water problems and holes in walls. Company that handles DVR never answers. After last call I made wasted trip where I was instructed and no one knew what I was talking about. Left 3 messages asking for a call before I make that trip again. Still waiting. Director no call either while I was in her office. Or today... Mealtimes inflexible and Sunday dinner is boring and disgusting after a while. I am moving on as soon as I can.
