  • The Laurels at Highland Creek

I’m adding to a previous review. I forgot to mention that the activities are basically the same week after week. There is little to help keep seniors mentally stimulated. There is little to help with any manual manipulation activities. There are however plenty of ice cream socials. If you are looking for an assisted living community that doesn’t allow its residents to become bored, again look elsewhere!!

  • My mother has lived here for 18 months. Over the past 6 to 8 months things have changed dramatically. Staff is constantly changing and consistency of care is questionable. Management tries but is unable to follow through with what is promised. If we were looking again for assisted living for our mother we would definitely look elsewhere.

  • Would not go there if I knew then what I know now.

Have my parents there for >1year and the services have been declining rapidly. Issue after issue. Misplaced meds. Or meds not given on time. Mandate increasing Level of Care needed for no good reason. Work to push folks over to the Haven as they conveniently asses that memory care is now needed. Someone outside of their business warned me prior to move in, but the folks seemed so honest and nice (fake) that I didn't heed the warning. Food is not good. From the director, to the head nurse, to the wait staff, and med techs, staff turnover is constant.. But, they always have a great excuse. If I can get back the community fee paid, I would find a new place for mom and dad. Check other reviews you can find online. Beware.
