We picked this community, because of the level of activites offered, which has not happened, so it's a dissapoint right now. They have been short staffed in the dining area, and they can improve on the activities. Overall, we are pretty pleased. I would recommend to other families.

I made a lot of visits to other facilities but couldn't find a more caring and friendly one than this. I brought my dad and he fell in love. He wanted to move in immediately, so we made it happen. Hearing him asking when he can be there every day, made us feel like we definitely made the right choice.

This is truly a special community. I enjoyed a Thanksgiving celebration with a close family friend and was very impressed with the presentation. Everyone was very friendly and the food was exactly what Thanksgiving food should be. Very nice.

My mom loves living at this community because she feels the love and the care that comes from the people caring for her. She feels like nothing is too big to ask from her caregivers and they truly care.

I am thankful for the staff at the Barrington. My mother moved in not long ago and has been taken care of from the first day that she moved in. Apparently Bingo and the fitness classes are quite a hit. Thank you to the Barrington.

My dad wanted to start looking at retirement communities after covid let up and it definitely surprised us.. we googled a couple of places and called them based on their reviews. We were so surprised that there was no "sales" push for him to move in. We got information about monthly rate son the phone, which surprised us because other places wanted to make us go in first. We liked that we felt in control. He is loving his new home and feels so cared for

My husband and I was honored to do the pinning ceremony at the Barrington and it was such a special occasion to honor their residents and it showed how much the staff cared for them. Special moment that cannot go without recognition.

I can say the staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. The residents always seem happy and well taken care of. The facilities are clean and newly renovated. There is access to the Midlothian area hospitals, doctors, restaurants, and entertainment. If you were looking for an assisted living facility I would highly recommend a Barrington Hioaks.

I moved my mom here a year ago because she was not getting enough stimulation at home just watching TV. She was excited about the classes they had and reminded of the VCU continued education lectures she attended before covid. Happy she is happy

I visited with my parents as they want to move to the area but don't want to give up their independence. When we left. They couldn't stop saying how much they liked the community. We went back to put their name on a wait list as they are not ready to move just yet but know this is the place they wang to move to.

I can't say enough positive things about this place. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The facility has been recently renovated and the residents have access to impressive amenities. They are also afforded the ability to age in place, where they can receive additional care but remain in their same apartments. I've also attended a few events there and the chef is amazing! I would highly recommend this facility to any seniors looking for a new home.

Beautiful community! I visited because my mom wants to move from Williamsburg closer to me and she wanted a place where she can be still independent but have staff there if she needed anything. I took pictures and she loved it.

I was hesitant to move into a facility because I didn't want to be stuck and bored. Here I have my own kitchen and I get to see the cook make difference food from countries and I can try to make it my own. That is my favorite class.

The decision for my mother to select Barrington was based on her question to [removed] was..”can this be where i can make my home and die here?… The answers was yes. There was an awesome room available and my my said I want this to be my new home. She entered as first level assisted living. From day one the staff on every level of care have been spot on, caring, patient and pleasant. She tells me every week when I visit that she is so happy with her decision. My communication with the staff is very reassuring. We are blessed that my mom is content, feels save and taking care of.
