Pecan Ridge was a better value than any other place we looked into. We are paying less than we were paying at a previous facility, but my parents are getting better care. I like that the pricing is all-inclusive. If any changes in care are needed, there are no increases. The building is all one story, which I love. The caregivers are all aware of dementia and therefore able to help people in memory care. My parents are happy there. They love the food. There are a lot of great activities, and the staff make an effort to invite them to join in.... Read more

The common areas are kept clean. It would be nice to see my loved one's cleaned more thoroughly. The dining room and meals are very nice. The community keeps the residents very well entertained. There was an incident where the community dispensed the wrong medication to my loved one, and this caused a major health concern for my loved one. The community is trying to retrain staff and find another full time med tech to to dispense the proper medications to the residents. I've noticed that on the weekends there is less staffing and less oversight of the staff than during the week. I would recommend you visit your loved one on the weekends more often than during the weekdays.

We went on an extensive search and in the end we went with this community. No other community can fully do what family can do but this place comes as close as possible.. They have activities in the community room where they work with the residents with balloons and more, they also have guest that come in and sing and entertain the residents and more for them to do to stay busy and active. This community is all memory care and that was something that we wanted for our loved one to be able to have that one on one attention.

Good community and this was our 2nd choice; however, it was not the right fit for our loved one.
I would recommend Pecan Ridge to others for their loved ones. The community is smaller with limited resident numbers. The staff are very open and have been able to answer all of my questions about my loved one. It would be nice to know more about the care at the time that it is being done.

We chose Pecan Ridge because of the convenient location, it is very clean and newer looking, and it always smells nice when you walk in. We have been very pleased with them. All of the caretakers are so sweet and loving to mother. I would highly recommend to others looking.

It's a very open and airy environment. There's a lot of natural light. The staff seemed to be very attentive. There were a lot of activities for the residents as well. The room size is pretty average, about what we expected.

We toured this community and it was very nice. they required a 14-day quarantine and they did not allow TV's in the residence rooms and that just didn't fit our needs
We have been extremely pleased with the care our Mother has received at Pecan Ridge. All the caregivers, nurses and medical personnel are professional, knowledgeable, and understanding. [Name removed] always responds to questions immediately! She is an amazing organizer and administrator at Pecan Ridge. Activities are a regular part of daily life. However, the individual needs of the resident is paramount. Participation in these activities is optional. Cooking, planting, musical opportunities, games, exercise, and visits with small children from the day care center are a regular part of life at Pecan Ridge. There is a hair stylist who makes regular visits, and we are appreciating the Visiting Physicians option, as well as the podiatrist visit option. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a comfortable, beautiful and friendly home for an aging loved one.

We were very impressed with Pecan Ridge and feel it will be a good fit for Mom. We thought the staff was very visible and caring and the facility is beautiful. It is very close to our house so we are hoping to move forward to getting Mom placed at Pecan Ridge. Rated tour as 5 Star - will need more experience with the facility to rate the overall facilily.

I only really went to take a look at this community knowing that we were going to place my mom in the sister community that they were building which is closer to me. I did get a good idea as to how the community would be setup the room layout etc because we were told that they don't change from property to property everything mirrors each other which I found helpful. From what I saw the place seemed well maintained and clean I really had no complaints it was just the location that was not convenient for the family.

As someone who visits this community regularly, I have watched the staff and residents go through a recent and huge transition as new leadership was brought into the community. Any change is hard, but watching the new [Removed] and new nurse, [Removed] has been a pleasure. They are exactly what this community needed and I'm so happy to be a part of this new phase of this building. The staff are excited, residents are happy, families are buying in and its truly great to see. The new Chef that the ED brought in is fantastic!!! Food is restaurant quality. I would be at ease and completely confident to move my mom here.

Have noticed lately that some of the staff that has been there since the beginning is no longer there anymore. They are now short staffed and are being [Removed] by corporate to work extra hours. The feel of the place is no longer warming to come into. You can tell the staff is stressed. The residents look disheveled and unhappy. Wondering what's happened to this community

Response from Pecan Ridge Memory Care
April 14, 2017As distressing as it is for us to hear about your unhappiness, we’d like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
My mother in law experience here at this community has been a good one so far. It was a ruff adjustment, but she is getting better each day. We are pleased with all they have done for us. Each day is a step in the right direction. They are providing her with good care, and we are pleased overall.

November 28, 2016Thank you so much for your complement to our Culinary Staff. Much education and training goes into selecting and preparing appetizing menus for our community. We love the interaction of our residents at meal time and we work hard to make every meal an enjoyable experience.
Based on a tour. Very new, about one year old (opened 2015). 46 apartments and 30 residents as of 7/25. Furnished apts. Most but not all units had private showers. Units had closets (not just armoire). Very clean, good smell. Residents appeared engaged, clean, happy.

July 26, 2016Thank you for touring Autumn Leaves of Northwest Austin. We're very pleased that your visit was enjoyable. Thank you for noticing our clean, inviting environment and our happy residents. We work hard to ensure that our communities are maintained at the highest level of service and care.
If there were more STARS I would have checked. Autumn Leaves of Austin has been over and above, the best decision I have made in finding the right facility for my Aunt. Having to make a decision quickly and around a subject "Alzheimers" that I was not totally up to date on, was overwhelming, to say the least. The staff could not have been more upfront and professional. The experience we have had over nearly a year has been AWESOME. We had an adjustment period and they worked with us on each and every issue that arose. They LOVE what they do and it shows. I am totally confident in the care, love, safety and overall being that has been provided to my loved one. Kim [Removed] is a saint! She has never disappointed me in her heartfelt attention to detail and to excellence and professional care. I highly recommend this facility.
