We would welcome an opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have and encourage you to reach out to the local management team.
We love the Brookdale Gaines community, everything is going very well so far. We like the activity of the residents themselves. It is a very active environment and it is very encouraging to see them living their lives. We would 100% recommend this community to others.
The community is very clean and the staff have done such a good job with the covid protocols and the masks mandates. The staff members are so friendly that was one main reason I picked Brookdale. They go out of their way to engaged the residents, and get them into groups of people they think the residents will get along with best. We have a brand new chef who is doing a great job so far, we get 3 entrees to choose from, 4 vegetables and 3 desserts .The value for cost is very reasonable it is like staying in an all inclusive resort. Also the second level is assisted living so if the assisted living residents can and want to come down to senior living area they are more then welcomed to, they can do activities with us and eat with us, or if they don't want to or can't they have their own activity and dining area.
Loved the community and plan on signing a lease, if everything works out! I feel this is the right place for us! Definitely a 4 Star rating from us!!
I would recommend this community to others. This has been a very good experience. I believe they have handled the pandemic as well as they can. They had a room available during the summer for my loved one that was remodeled. The staff is tenured and this is a big plus for us. The communication is wonderful, and weekly calls to keep the families updated.
At the time we chose this facility because it came recommended from a friend of ours who was in the business. The location also played a part in our decision. The room sizes here were standard compared to others that we looked into. My parents had a large 2 bedroom 2 bath and it was very spacious. After my father passed we moved my mom to a studio and it was on the smaller side. Overall, I would recommend, but not for dementia residents.
My mother went from living by herself to the assisted living and that were very helpful is helping her adjust and adapt to the transition. Before COVID, she liked it there, now it's harder. The staff are extremely caring, they go out of their to ensure that her needs are met. The food has been a challenge since COVID, due to limited choices and my mom's food allergies. I would recommend this community to other families.
If you are considering moving here, don’t. There are so many internal issues to mention. The most egregious is the food. There has been a problem with “chef” after “chef” and the food right now is not edible. My mom throws hers out 6 out of 7 days. She resorts to peanut butter sandwich and milk regularly. They will not take anything off the rent for food, so now we have to have food catered and the grocery bill is 4 times as high. This is nothing more than a nursing home so for the ones that are independent this is not the place. Moving her out as soon as possible. You’ve been warned.
Lovely facility and great location. Loved that there was an indoor pool with trainer on staff
An excellent facility with a pathway to assisted living if it becomes necessary. All the necessary services and amenities are available. The staff seemed truly interested in us and really wanted us to be happy. Apartment layouts are adequate but will require significant down sizing of our current household furniture and other possessions.
Gaines Ranch is a beautiful community. They took ample time to get to know what my mom's needs are and provided me with options best suited to help her adjust to life in an independent living community.
On the tour we had a positive experience and [Removed] was amazing at showing us around the community. My mom is in a lovely apartment and she enjoys being here. She is getting good care from the staff. I liked how there was a committee for new residents and they gave her a welcome gift basket and set her up with a buddy to get familiar with the community and to sit with at meal times. There are very good amenities, many activities, and the look of the building is very pretty with plenty of space. They have a restaurant for dining.
When I toured Brookdale, it felt like more of a hotel than an apartment complex. It was cold and not inviting. Everyone there was very friendly and informative, but it was not what I was looking for. It was quite expensive as well.
I have no complaints on how things are going for my father so far at this community. I am comfortable with the quality of care he is receiving and am happy with all of the staff. He has had no complaints about the food and enjoys participating in the activities with the other residents from time to time. I would recommend this place to anyone interested.
The main reason we picked this community is because it is fast and easy for us to visit and close to my mother-in-law's church. She has adapted better than we thought. She has lots of good food to eat, the staff got her involved in Bridge, and she has a nice, big apartment that feels like home with all her belongings from her home. She also get her exercise with all the walking throughout the community. After a misunderstanding about the time to help her get ready for bed, the staff have been able to assist her at the time she requested.
We are ready to move in to this community very shortly. On my journey to find a community they showed me a good tour of what they have available. I like the apartment I picked for us. It is a good size that we can be comfortable with and it has a great view. I like this community atmosphere and they have the care that my wife needs.
I liked this community based on it's location, amenities, services and cost. The services can be selected through a la carte. They have been enjoying tasty meals and they can choose from nice activities. My parents have been doing fine in this community.
I liked this community The staff was nice and answered my questions on the care given. It appeared to have alot of nice activities. I liked that they were caring and helpful to my needs. It is a community that is very clean and taken care of. I recommend families to tour this community for the care and value.
