The folks that work at Parsons House are caring and thoughtful. I know that my father is safe and comfortable. The location is close by so we can visit whenever we need to or easily pick Dad up for appointments. I couldn't recommend Parsons House more!

Parsons House is a senior living community located in Austin, Texas where we provide accommodations for residents who require assisted living or want to live independently. Mom has been at Parsons for 14 years and we could not have made a better choice! The caregivers are very good and most have been working with Parsons for a long time. The food is very well prepared and a perfect fit for seniors. Management is top tier and have been working with Parsons system for quite some time. The cost of care is well below the market. We would recommend them for everyone’s consideration.

Just what we needed
When I was looking for places to move my parents, I was most impressed with Parsons House. It didn’t have that corporate feel, they worked with you to get what is needed, everything my parents needed was there. It was a hard decision to live my parents out if their house but having them at Parsons House was the best option and I’m glad we went there.

Can’t say enough positive things about Parsons House staff and residents. Two of our family members were residents at Parsons House. Many of the staff have been with PH for many years. They truly care for residents and staff as part of a family.

Awesome Community/Great Staff
Parsons House Cypress is a very family friendly community with great staff and residents. The Activities that I see on their Facebook page always makes me happy to have referred friends there! It is a community that I think everyone needs to experience. Everyone is so pleasant and they always have some form of entertainment and/or crafts in the community.

A Home Away From Home
The staff at Parsons House are wonderful. They bend over backwards to make sure that your loved one is well taken care of and feels like a part of the community. It's just a wonderful place. The management and employees who work there go above and beyond. The food has a great variety, and if you have special requests, they make sure to accommodate those. If you don't show up for a meal, they come and ask if you need anything. It's just a top notch, great place that I cannot say enough good things about.

Tour of Parsons House
I toured Parsons House Austin, as it was close to me.
A friend told me that it's not fancy, but Parsons House seemed like more of a stereotypical old folks home. When you walk in, you kind of walk into their living area. It looked a little bit sad, small and old. The people were really nice, but it was not a good fit.

friendly staff and a nice community
What really stood out to us right away with Parson's House was the friendliness of the staff, they are so nice and always upbeat. Our loved one says for the most part the meals are really good but occasionally there might be a not so good meal. We think the activities are really good - they have live entertainment pretty frequently, exercise classes and a bunch of other things. Our loved one is really happy with the activities. Based on our experience so far we would recommend Parsons House to other families.

A Great Place to LIve
Parsons House is great. Mom is doing well. They stay in great communication with me. The facility is always very clean, although sometimes there's a slight hint of odors. The staff is friendly and attentive to my mother's needs. The administrative staff is always willing to listen. For activities, they have something going on every day. And they're a lot more affordable than other places I looked at.

Our Tour Experience
Parsons House did not impress me at all. You walked in and if felt like a nursing home pretty much. There's no central AC, so it was stuffy. Everything was an add-on. Their base price seemed cheaper at the beginning, but then every little thing was an add-on.

This facility has given us a great offer to get by until our home sells. They are great to work with. We will be touring the available apt. tomorrow with my parents.
The virtual tour was wonderful!
UPDATE...live tour...not a good fit for my parents. I am letting them pick the facility. Very disappointed that there is actually no courtyard as was stated as the prime apartment they suggested to us from our virtual view with a little balcony to sit outside. It actually faced a parking lot. I was told that the parking lot WAS their courtyard! There are no grounds at all! Just a building and a parking lot. The building had some renovations, in as far as wood flooring throughout. However, the dropped ceiling is in serious need of replacing. 1 bedrooms are of a great size though. The concrete ramp on which we entered was in pieces on one side making it a hazard if not carefully watching where we were going, both of my parents on walkers! Just not a good fit for us...

Retro living in North Austin
We chose Parsons House Independent and Assisted Living because my parents had a friend who lived here, so they felt more comfortable. Everybody was very friendly here. It is an older facility that is a little bit run down. Because it is an older building, the elevators aren't very great, so anyone who is afraid of elevators or is not very mobile probably would not like it here. The facility also does not really have an outdoor space, they have a nice front porch but that is it. They do have a little cage with finches in it, so if you are into birds you can sit there and watch them. Overall, I would recommend.

Great community in great north central Austin location
I am very happy with the choice of Parson's House. Great staff, great location, and we couldn't find a better value. We chose this community because it is in north central Austin which is close to where I live and the the price better is then the other alternatives in this area. I would recommend this community to other families. We have no complaints about food.

A great place to live
There was frequent turnover of the staff and lack of communication between staff members from shift to shift. This made it difficult on the residents and the family members. We chose this community because the location is close to my house, I know some of the other resident, it was diverse, and I liked the different amenities that they offered. Also, it was clean and the halls were very pretty.

Loved this community! This community has such a home like feeling. The director and staff are awesome.The residents verbalized how pleased they are at Parsons. Everyone was so friendly. We were able to witness activities. Really good place.
