September 26, 2023Hi Customer, we appreciate your kind words and the time you took out of your day to review us. We hope you have an amazing day!
This community seemed like a very great, clean, and inviting community. My loved one couldn't go to the memory care unit. I believe the minimum age was 62. My loved one is/was too young.

April 12, 2023Hi Erik, that’s wonderful to hear. Thanks so much for leaving us a review. Have a wonderful day!
My feelings are they are overpriced - not just them - Assisted Living in general - paying way more than what I feel is right. For money paid- and what we get- way over priced. Just my two cents. The food rating is based on what my loved one has told me.

March 29, 2023Hi customer, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience at Palos Heights Senior Living. We are pleased to hear that our team went above and beyond and made your experience pleasant. If you have any questions, please reach out.
It was a really great tour experience. They did a great job. It was out of the area, and the location was a little further. The decor was new. They seemed to have more people.

March 10, 2023Hi DG, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review Palos Heights Senior Living. We are thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our staff. We hope you have a great day!
I've been really impressed with this facility. I think they're really good. My loved one is in Independent Living. The apartments have full kitchens and also a washer/dryer in each unit. They offer transportation for the residents. They also have a good variety of activities and outings. They have a resident check in system, as well. There's a little button in the bathroom for residents to push to 'check in' daily. If they don't push it by a certain time each morning, staff will call them and/or check on them to make sure they're ok. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends, I'd live here myself.
Everyone at this facility is kind, considerate, and professional. Being in another state, I feel my sister in law is well taken cared of when we can't be with her.

This community was too expensive for us.
I would definitely recommend it. The residents are very friendly and everyone is very happy. My father really likes it! Only complaint is the dinner staff has had some problems

We love Palos Heights Senior Living. Right from the start, we were very appreciative of the family-like atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. The environment is very well suited for my 92 year old father. The unit has just the right number of residents which is conducive to the individualized needs that each resident might have. This also helps to keep the unit relaxed and calm. Also, the staff seems happy. They're always there to greet us when we visit, and invite us to participate in their activities. We greatly appreciate the staff, especially with helping us with my father's transition into his new home. They're very knowledgeable and are always willing to help us along the way. My father speaks very highly of his care and he seems very happy.

November 29, 2022Hi Ann, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. We are happy to hear that our community is well suited for your father. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Hope you have an amazing day!
They are having some personnel issues within management and they have staffing shortages just like everyone else, it is nothing too severe though. Overall it has been a positive experience and we would recommend Palos Heights Senior Living to others.

The tour was very good. But I was disappointed in our experience after the tour. They said they would accept my loved one to assisted living and we put a deposit down. Then after assessing, they said my loved one needed memory care. That was not the case as my loved one was fully functional, they just could not be alone all the time. It took us quite a while to get our money back.
Palos Heights Senior Living is a great place as we learned on tour. However didn't have all the benefits needed for my loved one so had ended up in a more specialized care unit.

September 30, 2022Hi AL, thank you for this kind review. We wish you the best of luck in your search. Have a great day!
We really liked Palos Heights, this actually would have been our first choice. When they evaluated my loved one, they thought that he needed memory care and we just did not think he needed that type of care yet. Overall it looked like a great place.
My father-in-law really likes his apartment and the people he now pals with. Only downside is the sometimes issue with the kitchen. There are times when there are not enough workers there, menu gets changed from sit down to pick up and eat in your room.

I have problems with the upper people their poor communication on their part. They would take a long time to call me and sometimes that call never came.
Mom loves it here at Palos Heights and it has worked out very well for all of us.

June 2, 2022Hi Kevin, we appreciate the positive feedback. Thank you so much for your interest in our community. Have a great day!
Palos has been all the things I heard it would be. The staff are excellent to work with. They provide a monthly report on how my loved one has done. When I visit the staff keep me updated and speak to any concerns they have and how to resolved these. There are three meals a day provided. They have shrimp, pizza, salmon, burgers, and more for the residents to choose from. There are snacks available for the residents to grab. Changing of linens, the room, laundry service, housekeeping, and all the meals are included in the monthly fee. The room is able to accommodate a bed, dresser, and there are two closets for the residents to keep their belongings in. There is a podiatrist that comes on as needed basis to see the residents. TV, garden center to plant items, enclosed patio, holiday and special day themes, movie theater, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to participate in. They have a game room as well that includes games, puzzles, and more. There are entertainment groups that come to entertain the residents.

April 28, 2022Hi, we appreciate the positive feedback. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review. Have a great day!
I would say to go with it with this community. This was the first place that we went and we never made it past this place. We have a lot of other tours set up but once my loved one seen this community they were not interested in looking anywhere else and put the deposit down. The staff have been the best the whole time my loved one has been at this community. I would say to check it out and I don't know anyone that would not want to live here it is fantastic.

A Place for Mom has scored Palos Heights Senior Living 9.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
