The employees are the best! I wanted Independent and Assisted Living, plus Memory Care in the same building. It's big enough to have a good range of amenities. It's small enough to have a close knit community feel. The food is good and there are choices. It's a new building that is built to be 'hurricane proof'. It has worked out very well for my husband and me.

My Experience
I am currently a resident at Highpoint at Cape Coral and the experience has been great all except for one thing, the rent. It was raised $333 per month and it is too much for some folks. Ten residents have left, just in the last month. Those interested in this facility should know that a large increase is coming yearly.

Exceeded expectations
My Mom has passed now, but the experience that we had while she was there was above and beyond what I had expected. I would highly recommend Highpoint to anyone looking for a place for Assistant Living for their parents, it is truly the best!

Our family had an in person tour with Highpoint at Cape Coral and we LOVED everything about Highpoint. However having to walk off the property to smoke would not work with her Alzheimer's diagnosis.

Review for Highpoint at Cape Coral
They were very friendly, explained everything thoroughly, gave documents to back up their statements. When we visited residents came up to us, and said how much they love the place. A lot of different activities going on all the time they were playing music when you walked in there was a grand piano and they greeted you with a smile. Just love everything about it, my father is extremely happy there, which was very important to us.

Independent Living at it's finest.
The staff is great. They like the residents, each other and their jobs. The food is good. We have a wide range of choices for our continental breakfast and 1 other meal served restaurant style. There's a special served for lunch and for dinner. There are other options if you don't want the special. HighPoint is big enough to have great amenities and small enough to foster a close knit community. It's like living at a 4-star resort.

Great Loving, Family Environment
1. Experience was excellent 2. Cleanliness appeared spotless 3. Every member of the staff was very pleasant 4. Quality of care, I think was excellent, Dad never complained. 5. Food was outstanding. Dad always comment on the great food and the pleasantness of the staff 6. Dad enjoyed his trip adventures. 7. I believe we got our money's worth at High Point. Dad only left High Point to be closer to his family. Regretfully, Dad passed away before he could move into his new apartment in Indianapolis. We got a very nice card, signed by several members of the Staff. That was unexpected & well received by my family

Highly recommend for memory care
Highpoint at Cape Coral in my opinion surpassed any other facility that we had initially looked at. I have found all the staff are willing to help you in whatever way that they can. The memory care staff is very attentive to the needs of those in their care. I really like the room sizes in memory care. The rooms are bright and well cared for. I would highly recommend this facility for those looking for memory care.

A Safe, Friendly and Comfortable Place for my Parents
The staff has been great at Highpoint at Cape Coral. My Mom is picky and she says nothing but good things about High Point. The staff have always been friendly and helpful to me. I actually had dinner there one night and it was very good. I would recommend this facility to others.

It's a great place that's better than my home
The staff members are great and the people living here are just as friendly. There are so many activities that are planned and the food is good. The trash is picked p 3 times a week, and our rooms are cleaned once a week. The location is right off Delprado and close to everything. They have a van that takes groups out to lunch in the area. We also have movies, and painting classes. They have someone playing the piano and different groups to entertain us several times a month.

Tour Experience
Highpoint at Cape Coral was also a very nice place, although I didn't see as many people out and around. It was also a larger facility in a busier area of town. Highpoint was also slightly more expensive than our other top two choices. This location does also have a pool which may be important for some people.

our families experience
The staff members at Highpoint at Cape Coral have been amazing, you can tell they come to work everyday because they want to and that they want to do a good job. Everyone from the house keeping to the front desk workers, just everyone from top to bottom are amazing and we could not ask for a better experience. It is a good value for the money, there are plenty of activities for the residents to do and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Above and beyond what we expected - very pleasant and happy atmosphere
Highpoint at Cape Coral feels like a very family friendly happy place and the staff members have just been wonderful. Anytime we ask them for anything of have any questions or concerns they handle it right away, we do not have any complaints. Our loved one has nothing but good things to say about the meals and dining and every time we get to see the meals they look wonderful. The activities are a little more limited on the memory care side but they do have things going on to keep the residents busy. The value for the money is excellent. Our loved one seems perfectly happy to be there.

My grumpy mother loves it
It is a beautiful facility that has more of a casual feeling to it. Both the residents and the staff are very friendly. My mother loves it it is a wonderful place She is a vegetarian and they have a few options on the menu and really work with her. The apartment she has is great and she loves it. There is access to a lot of shopping nearby as well. They are under construction and it is taking longer than we thought it would. The reason cleanliness got a 3 is because of the noise and inconvenience from the renovations. Overall we are very pleased with Highpoint at Cape Coral.

Don’t waste your time bringing your loved one here if they have Alzheimer’s
I placed my dad here. After a few weeks of being there, my dad hadn’t fully adjusted. The psych nurse as well as the head nurse gave him too many psych meds and he was stoned. I asked that he be taken off what was making him that way, reevaluate his meds and put him on something that worked . With Alz, adjustment isn’t easy, as they can be more confused and agitated with change. This place didn’t want to do anything but shove more meds down his throat. After multiple pleas with them , they did nothing. the director of that place called me and was snotty with me telling me that I was getting a “courtesy” call to inform me that my dad was being baker acted for something that happened the day before. I’m his POA, by law they have to call me. I hadn’t gotten a call to tell me that my dad was agitated to begin with. They don’t care about the residents and would rather send them out then help them. They don’t want to deal with anyone who is adjusting. I’ll be making a complaint with ACHA.

Bait and Switch
This community provides continental breakfast and a dinner which is served around 4. There are times that the breakfast items are left empty or low due to the community thinking the residents won't be down at a later time. The lunch time they have to ring a door bell, and the staff will take their time to answer the door to provide lunch to the residents. Most of the residents will eat breakfast and dinner. There have issues with the bus transportation so some residents will drive themselves to the outings provided by the community. I wish there was more follow up and transparency by the community with the family. The community has recently changed management teams, and the new management team has ripped down the balconies, and this is one of the reasons my loved one choose this community. There are some building materials inside the community and this is concerning for the residents walking in the community. Plus, the construction noises is very loud and causes disruptions for the residents wanting to relax.
