So far our biggest issue has been confusion on her mailing address. She's been using the address they provided, but the postal office says it's not the correct address. So we talked with Timberwood, and they said they would talk to the post office. It's not a huge issue, just an inconvenience. The facility itself is nice, and we like the size of the unit she's living in. All the bills are paid, so there's no big surprises. She likes her neighbors. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. It's a pet friendly community, and they reviewed her case individually and were flexible on their size restrictions so she could bring her pet with her.
I would tell others that my father passed away in Timberwood less than 2 months after he went here. They waited until he had passed away to call me and tell me. It was horrible care and I would never recommend it to anyone. I talked to other families that were here at the same time my father was and they were pulling their family members out as well. Timberwood is good if your loved one is more independent, but they are not equip to deal with any additional care.
This community is very neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is amazing and I really enjoy it. Also the community is a good value for the money. I would recommend this community to others.
If you were looking at just the assisted living side it would be okay. If you're looking for the memory care side it is not a good one. We ended up moving my loved one out of the community. There were bruises on my loved one. There were times there was no staff in the memory care area. when we visited
We are very happy with it. The staff are a bunch of sweethearts. Our loved one feels it isn't as bad as they thought it would be. The community is a well supervised and run community. They are willing to answer any questions at any time that the family has.
We have done mostly window visits but we have seen a couple of rooms and it is very clean. Overall we do think the food is fine, they have tried their best to accommodating to everyone's dietary wants and needs. With the activities they have done a pretty good job given the past year, and the activities coordinator has done special events like for Veterans Day. She also is more then willing to set up zoom calls for our loved one. Compared to the other communities we looked at, the value for cost here is pretty good.

Thank you for sharing your experience with others! We'll pass along your impressions and kind words to our staff!
I chose Timberwood because the price was less then the others and the house was bigger. It is about 1,700 square feet with a 2 car garage attached to it. The staff members here have been very friendly and helpful. It is is a good place to come live.

Thank you for sharing your experience with others! We're so glad you are enjoying our community and will pass your thoughts to our team!
The carpet in the community is old and in certain places it has a smell. Timberwood was amazing at activities. They had people come in and sing with the residents, celebrate holidays, and welcomed the family in for dinner and other events. The community really made us feel like family. The staff and the family spoke even after our loved one's passing. They were helpful in assisting us in getting our loved one's items out of the community.
Any issues I've had with the facility and the staff have been addressed immediately or they were in the process of working on the issue. The Manager is usually available to talk either by phone or text and keeps me apprised of any issues. The only problems I have experienced first hand were lack of personnel on the weekends to support the facility. One day recently I was able to come visit only because I was in town and when I arrived the alarm was going off and had been for 30 minutes. No one was even doing anything about trying to turn it off and the fire department hadn't even arrived and they hadn't let the residents know what was going on. When the fire department arrived no one was there to even turn the alarm off. So basically they didn't have the right people to support for the weekend, even though it was a holiday weekend. They were having issues with the kitchen staff and the food wasn't being delivered or the wrong meal/incomplete meals were being delivered. When I addressed this to the Manager, they fixed it with new staff because the person they were having an issue with had quit. They even had an issue where the person didn't show up one day and the staff went to McDonalds to get food for the residents. Very nice people, however the rooms and bathrooms need to be updated.

Thank you Kathy for your recommendation. We're happy that we have been able to rectify the issues that have arisen and that you are in general happy with the care your dad is receiving. Appreciate you taking the time to write!
Don't go here. They did not do what they said they would. The person in charge was not concerned about the residents. Bedsores are a real problem there. The food was terrible. The layout was fine. I have nothing good to say about Timberwood. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The cottages are very spacious and very nice. They are well maintained. Everyone is attentive and helpful. Very responsive and accommodating. We are excited to move in! Prices are reasonable too! Close to shopping.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and impression of our community! We're so excited to have you join us. Welcome home to Timberwood!
this is a smaller facility at an economical price point conveniently located for access to Tinker AFB with nearby amenities Easy to find, the Timberwood is located is on SW 44th Street close to Sooner Road (and Tinker AFB). A short drive down 44th Street brings you to a CVS Pharmacy to handle prescription needs. A number of nearby small restaurants are favored for Monday lunch group excursions. The staff is friendly and supportive. There is an onsite beauty shop and an activities coordinator on staff. The facility is open and light with a welcoming fireplace and clean. And it's always nice to meet your neighbors who enjoy watching TV together, enjoying the fireplace, holding group meeting, enjoying events in the main area or bingo, books, puzzles in side hall seating areas. The lemonade is excellent! And it's nice to enjoy a cup of coffee together.

Thank you! We're so glad you are impressed by our community and took the time to share your thoughts with other families. We're so glad that you are enjoying our activities and our shared spaces. We agree--- there's nothing quite as nice as sharing a warm cup of coffee with friends. Thank you for being a part of our Timberwood family!
This is an older building but it was still nice and was wonderfully clean and fresh smelling. The staff clearly love their jobs with several long time employees. The residents were all on a friendly joking basis with the staff and enjoyed visiting with guests like us touring. There were lots of socialization. The rooms are clean, comfortable and will be perfect for my mom. This place is everything we are looking for.

Thank you so much for sharing your impression of our community. You are right, our staff do love their jobs as well as our residents, and we're so glad it shows in the atmosphere of our community. We're happy you have found a place you feel confident in and are excited to welcome your mother into our community!
When I walked in the building it look nice and clean 2/14/2019.. I spoke to the nurse her name is [Name removed] she was very rude she seemed like she was very busy and didn't have time to talk. I spoke to a lady named [Name removed] about the finance and she was very rude!!! Her phone kept going off!!! I feel that it was unprofessional and disrespectful. I went on a tour with [Name removed] he is the maintenance man he was very nice the rooms was nice and roomy I like the knobs that's on the cabinet doors it's a nice facility but they need to get retrain their people in the office to have better business skills and to be more professional because they will run people off with their attitudes I am not going to put my father in this facility because of that reason!!!!

We are sorry your visit to our community did not meet your expectations. Our community is always looking for opportunities to create a better experience for our residents and guests. We have shared your perceptions with our supervisory team that oversees this community, and will follow-up with Timberwood’s management.
The activities director left [date removed] and she still hasn't been replaced. The apartments are not routinely cleaned, you need to complain to get it done. My mother is supposed to get a shower 2 times a week, but she's lucky to get it once a week. Almost everyone is very friendly, but with most places like this, they try to make it work with a skeleton crew. All things considered, my mother is satisfied where she is. She has Carter in home services and I can't say enough about the great care she gets from them. I'm very happy with every one of the Carter people.

Hi Linda! Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback; we appreciate your review of our community!
Timberwood is a lovely place. Activities are great but I wish I could be there more often. (My schedule does not permit. ) Mom is well taken care of and when something unsatisfactory comes up it is just a matter of presenting it kindly and it is remedied quickly. Food is good and made on premises. Everyone is friendly and pleasant.

Hi Joanna! Thank you for sharing your recommendation of our community; we appreciate your confidence in us!
I really liked the rooms here. They are large with a small kitchen area & full bathrooms, so he wouldn't have to leave room to shower. Price is great, only downside is there weren't any men there. Only women, so not sure about that.

Lots of contacts. Was looking for independent living with access to memory care. We didn't want a progressive retirement center. We are retired military so we wanted close to military facilities. Quiet area but easy access to entertainment, shopping and the airport. Moving from a rural area to the city without actually being in the downtown area was what we wanted and what we found. Very reasonable price was a must. Found what I wanted in one week.

Mary, thank you for sharing your review; we appreciate your feedback!
We toured this community and found that we liked the staff and the cleanliness of the environment. The menu was appealing and the list of activities would have been helpful. We wanted a community closer, but would have been happy with the care that is offered. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.
