We really like the Sunrise on Clayton community, it feels very homey and its just beautiful. Right when you walk in on the memory care floor something that we are always impressed with is the cleanliness, it is spotless. It also does not feel like a memory care unit, there are little livings rooms with small seating areas with TV's, there is also a patio you can go relax on when the weather is nice. We really appreciate that the staff on all levels are always willing to engage in conversation especially the management team. The activities director is just fantastic, he always has things going on during the week for those who want to participate. Besides the regular in house activities, he has done different things like taking the residents around town during Christmas time to see all the lights. They have gone to the zoo, he will have a men's day and a women's day. There is a beautician there that will take appointments for the residents to get their hair cut, a shave and nails done. They have transportation that will take the residents to and from doctors appointments. They even bring in outside helpers to take the residents dogs out for walks.... Read more

This was a nice community. It felt very corporate and like a hotel. There was not enough individuality.

My mom had lived in the community for 3 years and we have been very pleased with her care. As her needs became greater the level of care was met with care and concern and communication with the family. I visit nearly daily and mom is always clean, her hair neatly coiffed and sometimes even her earrings on. The new director [name removed] is terrific and has hired some amazing and compassionate staff. I highly recommend this “ homey” care facility
Very close to where I live staff is friendly. Its easy to go in and out when going to visit mom. They are a little short staff as others may be too. With mom having a hard to communicate and not as proactive in saying that she needs to go to the restroom it does make it difficult. With the community being short staffed mom isn't offered every 4 hours to go to the restroom.
I didn’t like the fact that the director did not know the residents' names as we happened to pass them in the hallway. She just didn’t seem to know who they were. There was also a little bit of an odor in the facility.
We toured Sunrise on Clayton and really liked the facility. If it would have been up to me, this is the place that we would have chosen to send our loved one.
I feel this is not a friendly place to live. The food is excellent and they offer a good variety. I would recommend this community with reservations
The staff was very nice and the security of the building is very good. They have a nice outdoor area that my father can walk around at. The food is really good and they offer 2 snacks a day. The Communication is not the best but they are taking great care of the residence. They have a new app available to help with communication. I would definitely recommend this community
We chose Sunrise because it seemed to be the best fit because of the way the staff operated with the other residents, it was also a very clean facility. Her room size is adequate. She said the food is alright. The best part about the community so far has been the caregivers here, they are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend depending on the level of care. It is rather expensive and they do not accept insurance.
Stopped in here with no appointment, welcomed with a wonderful tour, liked the services there. Taking her family from out of town there soon when they can get here as I really want them to see this. Just hoping they don't wait too long as rooms go fast I think.
Mom is happy living at Sunrise. They try to keep the care managers consistent so the residents get to know them. The director is responsive and tries to make the community comfortable. Mom has started to participate in the exercise class and they have current event discussions. The food is great and they have a jukebox in the dining room. The community is lovely and they have numerous conservation areas. They have a concierge when you walk in and the community is very welcoming.
This is a pretty nice community, and my tour of it went well. The staff was kind, and welcoming. You could tell they do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. My tour guide was informative, and answered all my questions. It was a good experience, and everything went well.
This is a very lovely place, reminds me of a southern plantation. Warm, welcoming with music going on in lots of the building - I really liked that. I do feel that for what they're charging, the rooms should be updated. We saw lots of stained carpets, dirty grout and caulk. Nothing terrible, but it's a big price tag and I would expect [Removed]. The exec director was very nice
Unfortunately I don't think there is a community that is perfect, but overall my wife, and I am satisfied with my mother in laws move to this facility. I was visiting my mother in law while my wife was out of town. During that time her room was clean, and looked fine. When my wife got back her room was a mess. I would say the cleanliness needs to be more consistent. When we bring our concerns up to the director, she does listen, and is empathetic. However the same thing will keep happening. We do like the fact they are encouraging to her to get involved in the community. They have plenty activities available. The chef is very kind, and the meals are fine. Nothing is perfect, but with all the community's we have been at, this is one I would recommend overall.
When I toured Sunrise of Clayton, I thought it was a pretty nice place. The person that took me around was friendly and knowledgeable, It was a good tour, but just not what I was looking for.
My aunt is starting to settle in, the first few weeks were rough with the adjustment period, but it is getting better. We took her some stuff from her home so it can help her feel comfortable. I would recommend this community because it has been a good experience for us so far.
My tour of the Sunrise on Clayton went well, but it was not what we were looking for. The place was nice, but I did not see as many smiling faces as I would like. At the community I chose, there are residents that have moved from this one and are much happier now. Not the right fit for my father.

We are very pleased with this community. The staff are friendly, supportive and happy to talk about how things are going. Mom likes the food and they offer a variety of choices. They offer daily activities. I would recommend this clean community.
A very, comfortable, homey residential space with a roaming dog and cat adding to the neighborhood community feel of this location. A limited number of beds makes it feel more intimate. All staff seemed pleasant, helpful and accommodating to the residents. Dining, activity and shared spaces were clean and welcoming. Rooms were cozy and didn't have the hotel-like hallways. Talked to one resident who was complimentary of the care, management and food. We left with a box of fresh baked cookies from the chef.
After one month in the Memory Care Unit, we are finding support very kind and supportive.
