I'm moving out. Since the new manager, approximately 80% of the employees have quit. A lot of people have moved and are moving. The food is awful (I have pictures). He raised rents 5%, and spent it on furniture in the lobby. Maintenance not getting done, but he buys more furniture. While he's spending the resident’s money on furniture, he refused to paint a resident’s apartment. He refers to our homes as "rooms" as if this is a flop house. Insulting and degrading. The wonderful employees. He cut their hours, so they take home less money, while he buys more furniture. I can't wait to leave here. But what's going to happen to those darling elderly who have no where to go. He will raise the rent again. Part of his agenda

Well, they are under new management, and they are going through renovations right now, and they just raised all the prices for care and for rent. I take it they have to pay for the renovations with something. Why would it come out of their own pocket. The food is not good to put it mildly, they keep saying they're going to get a good chef, but many times they're using frozen food , no vegetables no fresh anything. If I wouldn't eat it, I don't want my mother eating it -she doesn't even go down to the dining room. I buy her groceries and bring them to her. [name removed] is their hair and nail technician- she's very friendly. They don't pay attention to detail very well. It takes a while for maintenance to get things fixed. Example my mothers blinds on her sliding glass window were damaged and they came in weeks later replaced them with lines that didn't even fit. They were like a foot too short, but left them there anyway.

Our family had an in person tour with Desert Springs and the lady giving the tour was nice - however the energy there felt very cold and the cleanliness was not there. It wasn't a good fit for us. Also the communication wasn't the best, they were hard to get ahold of too.
I did not like Desert Springs at all. The facility was very old looking and had a lot of smells in it right when you walked in. The staff were ok, but it was a no for us.
Desert Springs is an older building but it is clean and the staff members while our loved one was there was super. What we experienced the dining service was good and there were plenty of different activities for the residents to do. We thought for everything they offered the value was very good and we would recommend this community to other families.

I toured this community and it was good. It's an older facility, but very clean. The staff was all friendly. I just felt like the unit was too far away from the main area. Staff wouldn't have been as accessible to mom's unit as I preferred, so we chose to keep looking.
My loved one is not involved in too many activities. I picked this place because it was the only place that was availble at the time, they had an opening and my loved one got in right away. It's a safe environment, and three meals per day was an important factor for my loved ones care. Overall, they are well taken care of.

I like living here
[name removed] is a wonderful person to work for
Overall it has been okay experience for my loved one. My loved one doesn't care for the food. The feel like it is rabbit food. There are options for the residents to order such as cheeseburgers, fries, and more. The apartment, housekeeping, utilities, all the meals, transportation and activities are included in the monthly fee.

The staff is wonderful. I cannot say enough about how friendly they are. There is a lot of vacancies right now. They are making an effort to improve on the food, but that costs money and we are concerned if they do what we want that our rent will go up. There are no balanced meals at all, it is all carbs and proteins.

Cannot say enough great things about this community and its staff! Everyone was really friendly and seemed really caring and compassionate. Dad and I ate lunch there as well and really enjoyed it! Dad loved everything about this place!! He is moving in next month!!
Very lovely singer performing while we toured. Place is nice. We had lunch it was delicious. We love {name removed} very helpful and informative. Plan on moving next year.
If you want to live in "the wheel that squeaks gets the attention" this is the place. A complaint is assigned to someone to fix . If it isn't resolved you have to complain again; there is no follow -up by anyone other than you. As a resident; you are not informed why a task is not done. If you complain or ask; a multitude. of excuses are given

It's okay for me because I'm working. So I don't often spend a lot of time here other than for sleeping or eating. And even then, I only eat a few of the meals here throughout the week. I tend to keep to myself in my room. I like my 1-bedroom apartment. It's very nice. The bedroom and bathroom are very closely associated with each other. It's very simple to move around in it, and it's not cumbersome for me. Sometimes I feel the staff is slow to respond to requests. But there is one individual, the front clerk, who really goes out f his way when I ask for help. I wouldn't discourage anyone from looking here because the cost is very reasonable.
