I certainly like to leave a positive review. I commend and am grateful to the Director, and all the friendly staff of the Celebrate Senior Living of Niles for their dedication and attention to details and doing all they can for the welfare and comfort of the residents. The private rooms include a bathroom, a walking closet, and the residents have access to Internet. There is a laundry facility, trash room and a kitchen on each floor. The residents also have access to different organized activities. The menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner changes daily and the residents have the option of asking for different food items. For the residents such as me who have a car, there is also a large parking lot. I greatly appreciate the fact that when I am away from my home, I can stay in such a clean, well maintained, and comfortable place. On a scale of 1-5, I give this place the highest score of 5. My friend is a resident at Celebrate Senior Living of Niles. In my opinion, the staff tries to pay attention and accommodate the needs of the residents. The meals vary by the month. They are well balanced and the cook tries new combinations. The housekeeping is pretty good. Another plus is that they have Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy on site and can provide these services to those who need it. Overall, my friend is very satisfied and frankly, I would consider this facility for myself if it came to a need for me.

Hubby is on their 55-bed floor which should be on the first floor when he had it physical therapy was great he likes the food but I am concerned about there’s only one elevator that works and the building is in need of repairs. He is taken care of but they like all nursing homes are short-staffed. He is warm, fed and diaper changed, but I worry about him.

We didn't really check out anywhere else. This was the most affordable and my aunt was ok with it when we visited. They have been very attentive to my aunt. They worked with me to help step up her level of care when it became necessary. The business office is a bit less responsive, but the direct care staff are very nice and helpful. She has housekeeping services and they do her laundry for her in the Assisted Living section. They went above and beyond when she was in independent living and needed more assistance with things before she moved. It's not a super fancy facility, but for the price point (which is lower than other places), I think there is definitely value. And I would recommend it at this point.

Thank you to “Elavate by Saint Andrews” to show me how a home should care for a our loved ones. This nursing home was night and day compare to the Abington of Glenview which was a nightmare. Unfortunately my partners beloved Mother passed-but it was due to stage 4 cancer. She was completely 100% bedridden. The care she received here was exceptional. Please always check reviews before you send your loved ones to nursing-palliative care.

The community is very clean and it's a good community for your loved one. Overall the community does a good job and is one of the best values in the area. The food could be better according to my loved one. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

We chose Elevate Saint Andrew for the price as well as the location. It is convenient to the hospital and doctors offices that she uses. It is also a catholic facility and our loved one is strong in their faith. The room sizes here do seem smaller than some of the other places that we looked into, but it is a private room and it is an adequate size for her situation. The staff have gone above and beyond, anytime I have had an issue they have been very helpful and accommodating. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.

October 31, 2019Thank you for leaving a positive review! We appreciate all of the amazing employees who work at Elevate. We attribute all the good we do for the community to them. If you have any concerns at any time our staff is available to assist.
Mom gets great care from all the wonderful staff! They truly care about all the residents, and treat them like family. The building is older, but clean and well maintained.

July 24, 2019Thank you for sharing your experience! We, at Elevate Saint Andrew, are focused on giving elevated care to our residents and have received a gold seal of approval from the Joint Commission. We consistently work to improve our care - adding activities, social clubs and much more! We look forward to your next visit to Mom!
Overall, we are happy with the care Mom is getting, the only real complaint is the food, which is NOT good, the only exception is the soup, which is great. While I only see dinners, there is a lack of fresh fruit and vegetables, and even simple things like grilled cheese just don't taste good. The employees are all very nice and helpful, and they do a great job of keeping Mom clean and comfortable. I a disappointed with the grounds, there has been a visible lack of attention to the patio and surrounding gardens. Hopefully this will be addressed with the new administration.

October 31, 2019Thank you for taking your time to share your experience! We are so glad to hear that you're happy with the care and amenities. We apologize if we've caused you any inconvenience. I forwarded your review immediately to our management team and we are looking into your feedback closely.
I am very impressed with your retirement community, services and accommodations. At this time, I don't need the level of care and service that you provide in your independent living setting, but will keep you in mind as my needs change and will not hesitate to recommend your location to other people I know that are looking for independent living at the level you provide.

31 out of 50 stars. This is a very old building, once a Catholic nuns’ residence, and it looks it. However, they try to make up for that in their economical pricing. Yet, pricing can’t overcome the small and tightly-configured suites, especially when it comes to the bathrooms. One of the one bedroom suites actually seemed like a pair of small bedrooms with a shared bathroom between them. The bathrooms are marginally ADA compliant, if at all. I would not feel good about having Dad, or anyone who isn’t fully ambulatory, living in these residences. [Name removed] was our point of contact. He’s a very pleasant young man, but his detailed knowledge was limited to the independent living areas. He was not knowledgeable enough in the assisted living areas to allow us to properly compare the two types. [Name removed] tended to speak to me and not my father, which would have been more appropriate. As a result, he spent very little time getting to know my father as a prospective resident, his recent medical history, his needs, and what he’s seeking in a residence. Other than the prayer group, the residents did not seem too active or engaged.

Very nice community setting with a beautiful Catholic chapel. Impressed by how happy the residents seemed, how welcoming [Removed] was, and how the residents all knew [Removed] and how she was able to greet them all by name. This definitely remains on our list of possibilities.

I found this place for my Mom and so far we’ve been very satisfied. We really have no complaints. The staff is very helpful and will give us updates often about how my Mom is doing. They’ll even let us know where she is in the building if we come to visit so we don’t have to track her down. Mom has no complaints about the food and has said that it’s very good, fresh, and that she always eats well. They have a few activities (like movies and bingo) and parties every so often. People from an agency will come in to do the ladies’ makeup or hair and nails. They post all of the activities on a board for everyone to see and it’s up to the individual residents to decide if they want to attend or not. I would definitely recommend them.

my grandma was healthy before moving here. after 3 months of living here she was dead. instead of sending her to the hospital they let her deteriorate. their answer to everything is more medications. i tried to get in touch with their doctor for 3 months. never heard from him. this is not a place for quality of life. it's a warehouse for seniors. their priority is not the residents. it's the money. while going though financial hardships the social worker [name removed] was kind enough to remind me they are not a charity.

The community was very quiet. The decor was dark and unappealing, and not a fit for my loved one.

My mom was here for a respite/rehab and they were very good with her. The staff worked really hard to help her get better so that she could return to her own home with my dad. The physical therapist made sure she worked hard and they even set up in-home care and PT for her at discharge. They also arranged for a wheel chair for her to keep at home. We have now upgraded their home with rails and grip bars that will help mom now that she is home. I would definitely recommend this community for rehab and great care.

A Place for Mom has scored Celebrate Senior Living of Niles 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
