August 30, 2023Thank you for taking time to post a review of our community. We truly care about each and every resident which makes me proud to work here with such a nice, like-minded team!
The Summer Bash Party was delightful. Starting with the three accordian players inside who provided such nice music. The whole outside area held so many festive events for adults and children. There were pony and horse rides which were a lot of fun. Face painting that was so decorative. A Music MC who played terrific music from his positionon the grass in the middle of the event. There were fun games for children and adults. There was a lot of yummy food available. Some of the selections were candy apples, hot dogs with sauerkraut, hamburgers on a bun, vegetable strips and cheese cubes, watermelon, cinnabons, and other snacks and drinks.

August 29, 2023Thank you for taking the time to write a review! The Team here at Carnegie worked very hard to offer an event not only for our residents and families but also for our surrounding community! We received so many compliments! Keep an eye out for the next event!!!!
Under new management, there has been steady, positive change and improvements. My mother has been here for over 2 years and is still content and very comfortable in this community. The staff, caregivers and nurses are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. There are activities and opportunities for stimulating social interaction for the residents throughout the week. The food is excellent during special events. When caring for an elderly loved one, no place or situation is perfect, but here, mom has a better quality of life and we are grateful for the daily care and peace of mind it provides to our family.

Carnegie is one of the best assisted livings in the area. The staff is extremely caring, treats everyone with dignity and respect. The residents are well taken care of and it shows on their smiling faces. This is a very welcoming environment where they make you feel like family. I would highly recommend anyone in need of ALF to consider Carnegie.

The sales person [name removed] will say whatever she needs to say imo to get your loved one booked here. She promised a garden view but my father was put in a room facing the front parking lot with the sun glaring in. She said they don’t quarantine there, they test but he was quarantined again even though he just went through Covid quarantine at the EVEN WORSE place we took him out of - both places played a major part in his eventual death - [facility removed] & this one. He must have weighed 90 pounds on the day he died and I regret not called the hospital that last day but there was supposed to be nurses, aides & doctors here so I didn’t call an ambulance-DO NOT go here -do not listen to their lies. They are so greedy imo that they approved my father for assisted living but he couldn’t walk and deteriorated even more rapidly once he arrived here -he needed nursing care. He didn’t get much care at all. We were working on getting home health care but I believe he starved to death & nurse nowhere!

September 6, 2022Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate all reviews to help us improve. Please email us at info@springhills.com so we can learn more.
All other places we had toured had bad things to say about this facility. We have talked to many people who had a bad experience here. I know that they have a very high turnover of everyday care staff. For us, they could not honor what they had originally promised and we are actively trying to get our deposit back. They keep giving us the run around and I do not think we are going to get it back.

We had a very good tour experience at Spring Hills Princeton. We had chosen them originally, but they were undergoing a renovation, and it was going to take too long for them to finish a room for my loved one.

May 3, 2022Dear Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
We really like the staff members there, they are super friendly and very caring towards our loved one. However as far as improvements there were some discrepancies from what we were told from the marketing staff and then what was actually happening once our loved one moved in.

This community was nice my loved one just did not want a community that was two levels and wanted to be on one floor and flat . The tours were great just not a great fit for what we were looking for.

November 11, 2021Thank you so much for your recent review. We appreciate your positive feedback and support.
The staff are very friendly. The activity director is great also. The director takes the time to find out what the resident likes and adapts to a signature touch to make sure that they are targeting all of the residents. They also use a system where you can keep track of your residents activities during the week or month so that the family members can see what there loved one is doing. They are also in the process of transitioning from another company. They are working hard to put in place the value of Spring Hills. The resident concierge also keeps personal int rest in the residents. They also really welcomed my loved one when she came in with open arms.

October 18, 2021Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your feedback and positive review. We truly appreciate your support!
Since Spring Hills took over its night and day better. The rooms are cleaned, laundry done without asking and the day nurse partners with residents family to organize care and Doctor visits. The management is so responsive and you can reach them when you need them. The food so much better. Concerns are addressed immediately even to a new room assignment. We are a team in my brother's care now. I can't thank them enough. A happier brother makes my life easier.

August 17, 2021Dear Alyson, Thank you so much for the time you took to leave us a glowing review. We appreciate your kind words and support.
[Name removed], head of assisted living, was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The Assisted Living Side seems good but it ended up being to far away for our family member.

May 20, 2020Dear Elaine, Thank you so much for giving us a positive review. We truly appreciate your feedback.
This started out as a good place for my family member but things went down hill very fast. I was promised a certain charge for service but was billed way out of what they said. The accounting side of Atrium is so mismanaged and the turn over rate is every couple of months. Get everything in writing and be aware they are unscrupulous.

May 29, 2019Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the recommendation!
I made several attempts to reach them regarding my mother becoming a resident at their facility. I have been working to place her in a quality facility as a respite patient, with a possible transfer to a permanent stay. She is currently a patient at Atrium at Hamilton and is thriving there. I had scheduled a tour through A Place for Mom, but never received a confirmation from the facility. I called and was transferred to the contact person's voicemail, which was full, and I was bounced back to reception where I was placed on hold for upwards of seven minutes and then disconnected. When I called back, the receptionist assured me that she would pass along a hand-written message to her, which was never returned. When I called again, I was curtly told you she was on her lunch break and I should call back after 1:30. I just wanted to make everyone aware that these are the reasons I will not be pursuing her placement with this facility. If this is the way the organization treats prospective residents who are currently in another of their facilities (and who will be paying out of pocket for their care), I shudder to think of how they would be treated once they were actually in their care. I hope that they will treat other prospective residents and their families more respectfully in the future.

May 29, 2019Thank you for sharing your story. We are saddened by your experience. Now that we are under new management, we hope our residents and families will see a positive difference in care and service.
Our family has toured many communities to find the one that is right for us. The Atrium provides excellent care and attention to our parent. The food is very good compared to other facilities. The are great programs, exercises, games and entertainment during the day. There is no perfect place , but this one is pretty close to perfection. Thank you Atrium staff!

May 29, 2019Thank you Dorothy for your positive review!
My mother is a resident there and it has been such a horrible experience that we are moving her out. The aides never help and just leave her and not help her to go to the bathroom as they said she should just go in her diaper. The place is filthy and food is so bad that I my mom is now down to 94 pounds. I worry for any other parent who is left there without having an advocate to support their parent. If I didn't continue to complain and raise issues it would be even worse experience for my mom. They just don't have sufficient support to help and they say all these great things but it is all lies. We are thankful we can move her out.

A Place for Mom has scored Carnegie Assisted Living 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
