We chose CareOne at Hamilton because it is a nice facility, clean and organized, the location is convenient for family, and also it carries multiple levels of care so it could be the start and finish. The room sizes at the facility are adequate for what her needs are. My best advice to anyone looking into this facility is manage the expectation of what your loved one ones and make sure to tell them. I would recommend them to others who are looking.
My grandmother was happy at Careone. She felt loved and cared for by her aides and activities people. Her room was clean and she generally enjoyed her meals, which was saying something since food was such a big part of her life. She loved to cook. The building is pretty and the staff friendly. We really appreciated having a nurse in the building 24 hours a day, it put our mind at ease. Cost was a factor for our family, but when all was said and done, most places cost the same or more. The director was accessible and easy to talk to. There was always something going on, Bingo, live music, art and all varieties of celebrations.
My Mom stayed at CareOne at Hamilton this past year. She was hesitant to go to an assisted living. She'd been in the hospital a few times and our family came to an agreement this would be the best way to go. It turned out to be much more than we expected! It was really hard for my Mom to get used to, but, the staff was so friendly. She was able to continue her rehab, enjoy the activities and remain as safe as a 94 year old could be. Mom was much more independent then at home and little by little she accepted the change. She has since passed away, but, the time she spent there in her last months was so appreciated by our family. Many thanks to the staff and all who care for the residents at CareOne.
Beautiful Extremely Clean! Activity seemed engaging I was visiting a friend she has had her ups and downs She wants to go home which I agree I would too she said staff is nice for the most part she has a few she is not fond of but as she said I go with the flow hope to go home soon During our visit a nurse came in very abrupt slightly rude and was questioning her on a follow up she was white awfully thin woman white lab coat but other than that I saw no issues
Hi When we decided to look at the next step for my in law We made appointments We went with many questions and We went with our nerves on over drive The contact woman was nice and has great sales pitches but she was throwing them to fast The place is clean no odors no smells The one thing it is missing is HOME it’s not Home like it’s like a hotel They need to bring in the homelike touch not the hotel atmosphere Where is the smells of baked good I also wish they had a facility pet Others do have one The only other negative was no introduction to care staff nurses aides that would of been nice Please this is nothing against the tour guide or the company
A place can look beautiful but if the love and care is not there it’s a mirage Mom loves her aides She enjoys the food The only issue we have as a family is the Nursing Director She is not personable She rolls her eyes when I go with a concern she does not get back to me to me it’s like she don’t care This is a major concern
This place is beautiful hotel like it’s missing personal touch Photos of Residents &Staff on walls would make it more homelike The Spa area not completed been over a year The Director of all Nurses is a poor choice she truly is self center yet narcissist She is not warm nor inviting to residents or us as families She gives me the nastiest stank face when I question her about my mom or care not done Maybe it’s a permanent frown she wears Her co Director a older woman who I believe works 1-2 days a week very loving Care staff very good
I was a temp stay at Care One Hamilton I believe they refer to it as respite . To be honest this was not my first choice for one I wanted to go Home. When it was clear that Home was not an option we agreed to a nurse to meet with me. Discuss options. The nurse who came was very honest and sympathetic. I could tell she truly cared. She was not there to sell me but to explain what they had to offer. She is the reason why I chose Care One Hamilton . The staff truly went out of their way for me The care aides were very good my pendant did not always work . The Nurses in Day were clearly caring and knowledgeable I was not fond of the lady in black in charge of supplies She was loud wore a scowl and looked mad all the time The head nurse a skinny loud obnoxious woman she was not only unhelpful she was sarcastic she debated with me on Political issues Then made a comment that I was in utter shock I was so glad to leave this establishment I will say I enjoyed the meals and activities . I can also say the house keeper a plump woman of color did a fantastic job
I can honestly say care one Hamilton is clean no foul odors My mom has a private room it is fully cleaned weekly I go in almost daily so i will Clean up daily Mom loves the food The Chef [Name removed] is very Caring man and talented chef [Name removed] the head director I heard is leaving she will be missed due to she has always helped resolve issues I had here I am not happy nor comfortable with the Wellness Director [Name removed] she is very distant and rude she makes me feel my concern about my mom are trivial she never knows what is going on she always sends me to another nurse but she is the head nurse why don’t you know ! She is unfriendly and unwelcoming The other nurses are very caring helpful and truly care
My mom lives at Care One Hamilton Mom was reluctant to move from her home She gave me a fight but I knew she needed more help I was very happy on how quick the move in process went Since she has been there I am more at ease her nurses keep me updated on all issues She loves her aides that come and help her She told me the one is so sweet she smiles so bright it makes mom feel good She loves the food She will choose what activities she wants to go to there is always a party live music lots of fun ! Mom loves her day nurses she said they truly care and always lend a ear The Administrator is very hands on which says a lot I have never met the Nursing Director but no news is good news
My parent has been living at Hamilton care one for few years The food is delicious The activities staff are very pleasant I think more activities would be great especially after supper to host a activity Nurses are the best The new Wellness Director [name removed] To be honest she comes off very defensive. She is a bit rude. I have heard her talk down to staff. She seems very upset if a resident or family member want to talk to her She is too busy . She comes off very unprofessional chewing and snapping gum as she talks to others. I am sure she is well experienced but I do notice she is a true dictator
Beautiful facility Very Clean the Holiday decor was beautiful Staff seems miserable maybe because it was a weekend The woman who toured us was less than enthusiastic she wore a scowl on her face We did not feel like she liked her job
Care One is truly quality Care Not only is it beautiful the staff are caring attentive friendly compassionate Thank You for everything Best Nurses K and K and new directors are great they keep us informed and are attentive and the RCC BB goes the extra mile as well
We placed Mom in here as a temporary measure while looking for in-home care. The longer she stayed in Care One, the more she liked it. She's a very social person and loves all the staff, neighbors and all of the activities. I can never reach her on the phone because she's always out and about. She even raves about the food, which is surprising because she used to love to cook herself and as a living and was very critical of others. So kudos to the chefs!
My husband was there on respite Everytime I went I found him having fun singing enjoying games He was always well groomed and cared for The staff was great place cleaned food he loved it I truly have no complaints
I have to say this facility has definitely made changes for the better Food is beyond excellent My mom loves it The nursing staff has definitely changed for the best glad to see old ones go and new come one new nurse very attentive definitely cares smiling great addition Activities good but could be better I feel there are few activity staff so they could do 2 different activities at a time to give options more trip outing weekly would be great although staff very nice Executive Director is ultimate best she runs a great facility
This place used to be a nursing home converting to an assisted living a few years ago. Although the entire place was redone with beautiful modern floors, wallpaper, etc. it still looks like a nursing home/hospital setting. It is not warm and inviting, more sterile like. Residents are in one small room which was not conducive to feeling like it was an apartment for long term living.
Administration is very rude.. I tried to tell the administrator of a problem that arose during my fathers care and she said quote ‘’ not my fault ‘’ and walked away. WOW.
This is a very nice community and my mom likes her room, she had brought her own furniture in so she feels more at home. The staff are friendly and attentive and they have encouraged mom to take part in the different activities that are offered there, there is a nice courtyard that is key-coded that the residents can go out on and visit with friends and family. I feel my mom is secure and safe here. There is a nice dining area and the food is pretty good. I would definitely recommend this community and taking a tour here.
My mom stayed here as a respite for two weeks. The community was lovely with lovely people. They provided her with beautiful care. They were really welcoming and I felt she was safe with them. They gave her medication on time too. I would use them for respite again and I would recommend them people I know in need.
