The transition and intake process was handled exceptionally well with both resident and family in mind. Staff is fantastic with communication. The facility lay out is the main reason that we chose Brookdale Hamilton. it is all on one floor, circular floor plan that allows the residents to wander at their will. There is also a garden patio in the middle that they have access to weather permitting. We liked that they could move in and outside as they wished. My 90 year old father could sit outside on the patio and even eat there.

My loved one only spent about a month here, but overall it was a pretty good experience. The cleanliness got a lower score because they were in the middle of renovations. I personally would recommend anyone to go here. I think in the future when renovations are done, it will all come together and be great. The staff were wonderful during our time here.

It has been great experience for us. There are three meals a days served along with snacks for the residents. The residents have choices to choose from for meals. There is a family day once a month for the family to join in on. The staff communication has been great and they are responsive to our questions and concerns.

I chose this place because it's clean, the people care, and because it's small. there are only 50 beds in this facility so it does not feel like an institution that takes in a hundred plus people. it is older, but I personally like that because you've got history with the staff since its been there a while, and they aren't hiring all new people. some people like brand new, but older appeals to me because of the history there and they know what they're doing. I don't necessarily like the fact that they are a corporation, but I have faced the reality that that's the way business is done today and is necessary for survival as a senior living community. I don't think that's any different than any place else, there are very few independently ran places. everyone is terrific, its just that I sometimes feel that they have a lack of staff or staffing issues, but everyone has staffing issues right now and trouble finding good quality help. when it comes to the staff that they do have - there are always a few bad apples out the bunch - but the staff that I interact with most of the time are so kind with the residents, have been there a long time and have a caring nature. they could do a bit better with their activities, although they are offered consistently there are times I visit and there's nothing going on. the one person who really contributed towards that is now working with a new community, so it was sad to see her go, but that kind of thing happens. overall, its a great place but there's always room for improvement. I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

I really liked this community. The director was on point and I felt like I had all the information I needed about this community by the end of the tour
Four years ago I lost my mother to dementia. Prior to her death, she was a resident in Brookdale for three years. While there she received excellent care. She spent the end of her life in a clean facility with a competent, caring staff who graciously tended to her physical and emotional needs. Ten months ago my sister was diagnosed with dementia. When it became evident that she was no longer safe staying in her own home, the first and only call I made was to Brookdale. Fortunately, they had space for her. She is now receiving the same competent, caring attention that was given to our mother. Ironically from some of the same staff members. This longevity of staff speaks to the positive environment that is Brookdale.

I would recommend that you go and visit this community and speak with them to see if it is a good place for your loved one. They were more than happy to accommodate and help and answer any questions that we had for the community.

I was so excited for my aunt to move into Brookdale. She had been in a rehab facility after being in the hospital following a fall. She developed pressure sores and we needed to get her somewhere that would take good care of her. Brookdale promised she would be seen by a wound specialist when she moved in. It never happened. After 3 weeks, my aunt was taken back to the hospital where she died from her wounds.

Brookdale Hamilton gave a really good virtual tour. I really liked it there. It was definitely one of my top considerations. I liked how they cater to the residents. I remember them saying they have different groups for activities, and things like aroma therapy if your family member didn’t want to participate in a big class, especially in memory care.
I have nothing good to say about them. After visiting about a dozen nursing home, I decided to settle on Brookdale Hamilton. I spoke with someone about this community. I brought him there, and he spoke to several staff members and he had dinner that evening, after walking in on his own to his room. The next day, we found him hunched over in the wheelchair. Over the next two weeks were the same, and he wasn't eating. We finally went down and spoke to the Director of Nursing and wanted to know what was going on. We asked if he was eating, dehydrated, etc. She told us that he was well hydrated. I ended up taking my husband to the hospital due to dehydration, and was in the hospital for seven days. He had heart problems, and the doctors were concerned about an impending heart attack, after six days on fluid the diagnosis was severve dehrdation. The doctor wanted him to go to rehab, and he did and walked out rehab with assistance. Then went back to regular daycare Due to my husband being at Brookdale Hamilton only fourteen days, it cost us $21,000 total. We had to pay for January, all of February, and all of March. The community insisted it wasn't dehydration, even though the hospital care staff said it was. The community wanted to see him at rehab, and I didn't want them to see him. They were receiving reports and that was enough. The Director of Nursing went to rehab, and demanded to see my husband. I am thankful that the paperwork at rehab said that only family could visit him. The afternoon activities were music on the TV for an hour, and that was about every day.

Everytime you visit Brookdale Hamilton you will be greeted with smiles and hellos at the front desk. The staff is caring, compassionate, friendly and knowledgeable in their respective jobs. Upon enrollment, a personal care plan is set in place according to his/her needs. Each day is filled with activities that incorporate physical, mental, social and spiritual needs. Also, residents are treated to a well-balanced meal plan in a dining room setting. Family members are kept well-informed on a monthly basis via newsletter and calendar. Mom tells me all the time how much she enjoys living here and that's why I'm glad I chose Brookdale Hamilton!

My Mother has blossomed from the love, care and attention she is given by the Staff, Nursing & Aides. It makes me so very happy when I call and hear that my Mother is enjoying every minute of every day in activities that stimulate her mind, body and social skills. I know that she is well taken care of, is safe and active. I have peace of mind that my Mother is in a great environment where she is learning and growing each day thanks to the skilled personnel at this facility. Keep up the terrific work, everyone at Brookdale Hamilton!

Started out great. Care rates quickly go up and no added benefit seen for my mom. Staff is slow to respond to residence immediate needs. My mom always looked dirty and unkept. Her room smelled and I had to constantly ask for it to be cleaned. I asked for her medications to be reviewed and changed several times - nothing. Mom was there for 9 months and I am now very happy with the decision made to move her.
