It is expensive but the care is completely worth it. Our loved one is safe, secured and well looked after, we have been very impressed with everything since the day we stepped foot into Artis. On the tour right away the person who works at the front greeting everyone is so charming, on the tour the answered all of our questions. Being in medical sales they have it all down as far as the sales and marketing team. Not only are they wonderful but also very kind which is huge. Anytime we have questions we get a response and if no one is there to pick up our calls we always get a response in a timely manner. Our loved one being on the memory care side can still walk outside and enjoy the gardens, he does not feel locked up. We would not want it any other way, they have just been so accommodating with literally everything, they are phenomenal. The art teacher especially has gone above and beyond to make sure the stay completely enjoyed and interactive with one another, she truly is a blessing.

Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. Our families experience
In the beginning there was a lot of personal attention given to our loved one, the staff were very good at keeping up constant communication, and the food was very nutritious. However after awhile covid did impact a lot of things, the communication started to change, there was a big lack between the staff and residents, and staff to the families. We would get conflicted information from the hospital workers and the community staff which was a concern, and we ended up having mixed feelings and loosing trust. We understand it was a difficult time for everyone, but you just have to make sure you are there all the time.

We had a great tour experience with Artis Senior Living. The staff were all nice and did a great job discussing the services provided and how their staff operate. We liked that it was a facility that only focuses on Alzheimer's and dementia, but we found one a little closer that fit our needs better.

My tour review
I liked this community a lot. The one draw back was that I did not like the accommodations. The room itself was really tiny and sterile feeling. The lady I met with was very confident and knowledgeable but I just felt like the accommodations were very stark.

Grateful we found the place
They just opened the community for visitors so we have not had any of the meals, but the feedback our loved one has given us is that the food is pretty good, almost like being on vacation. They have nice activities and we can see pictures of our loved one participating. The staff do a good job keeping them engaged and really getting to know things they enjoy. This community focuses strictly on memory care which is nice and the residents can "walk freely" around the community. The value for cost is a flat rate that goes up depending on the care your loved one may need. Artis Senior Living has created a safe environment for our loved one.

Outstanding Educational Support for Caregivers
I am a caregiver for my wife at our apartment. She has Alzheimer's and is in the moderate rather than the severe stage. Both of us before COVID attended live support groups. Now with COVID, I watch and listen to many support and educational groups during the week from Artis and other facilities.
The group with [name removed] as host from Artis Senior Living of Princeton Junction was very valuable to me and she does a professional presentation. Even though I live in Marlton, NJ, I did, with my wife, make the trip to visit [name removed] (one hour ride), outside of the building because of the quarantine. I also spoke with [name removed].
I enjoy these webinars and support groups very much. Some may be repetitive but, if I learn one new idea, it is very satisfying to me. [name removed]'s Circle of Friends Support Group is special. Everyone can say anything and discuss anything and know it will stay within the group in addition to learning new ideas.

Bigger is not better
We chose this facility originally because we thought the place was for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. It is great if the person is able to move around and they can still function, my mother had a hard time. The facility is larger and I think people with dementia need smaller facilities with more individualized care. The less patients you have the better off you will be. There were too many residents here and not enough help.

Artis Senior Living meets the needs of people with dementia.
Artis Senior Living of Princeton Junction is a first class facility for people diagnosed with dementia due to Alzheimer's. Everyone on the staff is available to the family of the resident when there are questions about the care of the resident. Financing is explained to the family before the resident is moved into the facility. Relatives have access to the staff and the facility on a 24 HR/ 7 DAY a week basis. Meals served to residents are of the variety and quality one would expect from a highly rated facility. Resident living conditions and care are superior to other communities in the area.
