Our family had an in person tour with All American Assisted Living and we thought all of the staff were very nice and they spend a good amount of time with us. The tour person I think [name removed] was very friendly and knew all of the residents. We liked All American but they only had shared rooms, but we really did like the atmosphere of it.
Overall experience was not good. We explained Mom's level of need, was told no problem we can accommodate. It was an absolute fabrication. Mom never even received her necklace (to call for help) for over two weeks. Anytime I called to speak with someone, I left messages with no call back. And she was supposed to be in PT. We called multiple times to see when she would be evaluated (was told that would happen immediately after arrival). Want to know when they called us to just evaluate her? Two weeks after we removed her!!! The original person who was SO attentive taking our money, never spoke to us again. She was left to fend for herself multiple times. We left after a month. Would never recommend that place to anyone. They want your money and that's it.. Actually seems clean. But I never ventured around outside Mom's room. Friendliness of staff? Could never find anyone to speak with. When it come to the quality of care I'd go lower if your scale let me. There is no level of care. If you're able bodied, I'm sure it could be okay. If you need assistance, you're out of luck. I brought her in food constantly. She was brought sandwiches. Nothing really good. Never attended activities. The overall value for cost - absolute zero. For one month, we spent a ridiculous amount of money. And when I pulled Mom from there, they sent me bills for unknown services. Even when I asked about them (that were never mentioned/indicated in the contract), I received no answers. I didn't pay those. I assume they were ways to pad their pockets, because they haven't charged me for those again. Be smart enough to question every charge.

My mom has said that the residents here were all very friendly and welcoming. As far as the food goes, I think they need to offer healthier meal choices as well as more options for the residents to choose from. I would recommend All American at Hillsborough to others.

My family is very happy with All American. The cost was great. But when I did the tour with [name removed]. It felt like a very friendly and comfortable place to be. The staff new the residents names and things they liked to do. An other place I visited was not so friendly and lot more money.I would and have recommend it to other families going there this with their loved ones. The staff is very friendly. And they take the time to learn about their residents and even their families. My father is so happy there. I am glad we were told about All American.

They promise much more than they offer. Their brochure says they offer "Exercise Physiologists offering over 150 different fitness and wellness classes and diagnosis-specific programs." This was promised during the in take, but it was impossible to get our loved one started in this program, even with a doctors order. I'm not convinced it actually exists. They provide very limited transportation to doctors visits, so you ultimately are responsible for transport. Very limited skilled medical team on site, and very inconsistent. This place may be ok if your loved one is fully independent, but if they need any significant level of care, I would not trust or recommend this place.

The staff overall cares for the residents. The food has improved greatly since a new chef arrived in the community. During the tour the Marketing Team told us that our loved one could have family members enjoy dinner in the dining room with them. Then staff later told us that our loved one wouldn't be able to eat meals with family members. This was disappointing to us!

They are very friendly. We picked this community, because of the value for the money. They check off all of the quality boxes. In general, they do everything well. They do the that best they can. They can improve on supervision of the nurses aides.

They have a lot of activites, and keep them busy. The care is supbar, and they are short staffed. We pay for the highest level of care, and sometimes my loved one does not get the attention that is needed. They hardly have any food options available for my loved one.

I had a very positive tour experience with All American Hillsborough. The staff who showed me around were very accommodating and answered all of my questions. They were thorough with their information and I was able to see staff to resident interaction as well.
I have suggested to others to look somewhere else. Why would an assisted living have most of their "apartments" be for two elderly people to share. If they wanted a single occupancy they needed to pay double the monthly rent.

Overall I thought this was a good community with good pricing. The only drawback was there was no guarantee of a private room for my loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and it was a little bit smaller of a community but one thing we loved is we saw residents and staff members everywhere mingling and socializing with one another. It was a top contender but at the time there were no openings.
The meals provide a lot of options to choose from and the food is good. They show movies, games, beer and pretzel nights, amongst other activities. Housekeeping comes twice a week. Laundry services are as needed. They provide transportation to doctors appointments. They offer group trips periodically. They send me a monthly invoice for billing. They offer a security necklace with an emergency button on it for all residents.

We have had some issues with the care team, and some of the staff is very friendly and some not so much. However when we were having our issues it was happening during a change in management so that could of been the reason why. Our loved one does say the meals are not the best, the quality is just not very good. We picked this community because its clean and fairly new and the price was good compared to others in the area.

We had a great tour with All American. The facility itself was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We did not choose them because mom did not want a shared suite and that is all that they offered at the time.
This community wasn't the right fit for my loved one. This is because of the shared common space. To assist with the lower cost you must share a bathroom and a common area, and this just didn't work for us. I think the caregivers cared for the residents while we were there. They have physical and occupational therapy on site which was great for the residents that needed it. There is a high turnover of staff at this community, and others. The additional concern was the distance from family.
