About the community

Bethesda Gardens is a resident-focused alternative to typical assisted living. Bethesda Gardens is conveniently located in Arlington on West Arkansas Lane south of I-30 and north of I-20. The community is minutes away from Arlington Memorial Hospital, Medical Center of Arlington, Cowboys Stadium, Six Flags, shopping, dining and entertainment.

Our community features small neighborhoods with cozy common areas surrounded by up to ten individual apartments. Residents enjoy the privacy of their personal studio or one-bedroom apartment, and the camaraderie of a neighborhood living area. Those with early cognitive decline especially benefit from the small environment. Our spacious apartment homes offer self-locking medication cabinets, walk-in closets, and large windows to let in the natural sunlight. Bethesda Gardens features restaurant-style continuous dining with multiple entree choices.

We believe in helping residents remain as independent as possible for as long as possible. Our residents are redefining their lives by participating in a number of social programs which include everything from card games (Bridge, Rummy, poker), special interest groups (crafts, gardening, golf, book reviews), lecture series (topics include: politics, education, science, cooking) to an extensive health and fitness program that includes Senior Yoga and Senior Tai Chi.

Dr. Brock - My loved one(s) live(s) or lived in this community
Poor management, inexperienced caregivers, cheap for a reason!

My mother lived here from [dates removed]. The management is awful: my mothers room flooded three times and they moved her bed without telling me and she fell because they did not have her bed at the angle she was accustomed to. When I came to visit no one was at the front desk and I never could get a straight answer about my mothers care. I noticed she declined rapidly after that fall, and that move. The caregivers were always sneaking out the back door to smoke together. I pushed my mothers call button and it took over an hour to have them respond. Someone broke the plug to my mothers hospital bed: they had the head up and the feet up and left her that way for a week! My mother was miserable. The management promised to apply a credit which they never did. I moved her to The Waterford on Cooper in North Arlington.

Friendly employees, happy residents. Clean, up to date living quarters that are affordable. Liked it, but didn't love it.
