Arlington is a suburb of Dallas known for its thriving entertainment industry. The city is home to a number of major organizations and venues, including professional sports teams such as the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. One of the most well-known venues in the city is AT&T Stadium, formerly known as Cowboys Stadium, home of the celebrated Dallas Cowboys football team. The venue hosts many different entertainment and sporting events throughout the year, especially during the Cowboys off-season. One of the most popular entertainment attractions in the state, Six Flags Over Texas, is also located in Arlington. This theme park was the first ever Six Flags amusement park and covers over 200 acres.

As the world headquarters of bowling, Arlington is home to both the International Bowling Museum and the International Bowling Hall of Fame, both of which are located on the International Bowling Campus.
