This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include the total daily diet must meet the recommended dietary allowances of the National Academy of Sciences Food and Nutrition Board, meals must comply with diet prescribed by physicians, meals must comply with residents’ dietary preference, and meals must include an appropriate variety of foods, planned in consideration of cultural and religious backgrounds . Public assistance is available through The state’s Medicaid 1915(c) Assisted Living Waiver program.
