Assisted living communities provide oversight, personal care, and social opportunities to persons around 65 years old. Assisted living communities often offer opportunities for recreational activity, care supervision, and support with daily activities. There must be one bath or shower for every 1 residents and one toilet for every 1 residents. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These areas include recognizing signs and symptoms of dementia, first-aid, knowledge of community services and resources, and knowledge required to safely assist with prescribed medications.
