Everyone at Cogir of Brentwood has been very friendly and helpful. The community smells clean and looks clean. The staff has been wonderful and the staff checks in regularly and makes sure my mom is doing okay. When it comes to the meals, they are delicious but I do wish they were cheaper for family members to eat there. There are a lot of fun activities throughout the day for the residents and the cost is comparable with other places in the area. I highly recommend Cogir of Brentwood for senior living.... Read more

We just moved in and everyone is so friendly. The staff is super helpful and the residents are most welcoming. People have been extremely kind. I have an extensive list of food allergies and the servers and cooks are accommodating.

June 21, 2023Hi Linda, thank you so much for your 5-star review! We are so happy you've felt cared for by our team. Please let us know if you need anything. Have a wonderful day!
My Dad chose Cogir because of our description of it. Also, he liked looking at the floor plans and the prices. (More information provided in their packet). At the time, distance from us was not a consideration... but Cogir is 1/2 the distance, and now, I'm glad! It is a wonderful facility! The staff are really amazing! They are very friendly and helpful. On Dad's first day there, he was visited by his housekeeper, then the Community Relations Director, then by the CEO (and it was Sunday... his day off!!). It's like a big happy family, and everyone greeted Dad by name!

March 20, 2023Hi Mary, thank you very much for leaving a 5-star review of our community! Our team is so happy you've enjoyed your time here for the past 2 years, and we look forward to sharing more time together. Have a wonderful day!
After looking at many places for an assisting living community for my mother and father we found Cogir of Brentwood was a perfect fit. From the start the Community Director has been a friendly, informative person who has earned our trust and has been there to answer our question. The nurse who did my parents assignment was honest and treated my parents as individuals and addressed their concerns. The Executive Director was friendly. The staff has been very friendly. As soon my mom walked through the door the first time she said "this is a cozy, comfortable place."

This is the 4th place I've lived and by far the best. Of course, we'd rather be home, but this is the next best thing. The food and people are good.

I love a lot of the personnel - a lot of personality; even the young men. They're polite and helpful.
[Name removed] was my first contact here and she made me feel at home. [Name removed], the driver takes me whereever I want to go. I haven't found a person who is not kind yet. Everyone is so friendly. After leading a staff of 80, I understand culture and Cortona has the right culture.
Everything looks great!

I've lived here 6 years and I love it! I love the people and the management.
My mother was a resident of Cortona Park for 7 years 3 months. She entered Cortona as independent living and enjoyed her beautiful apartment, staff, food, and the friends she made along the way. Things changed after she lived there just about a year when she fell in the bathroom and severely shattered her leg. Upon her return after 3 months in skilled nursing rehabilitation she required max point care giving which moved her her from independent to assisted living. In the 7 years she was in Cortona the facility had excessive staff turnover; 3 executive directors came and went, at least 250 caregivers and kitchen workers, and a half dozen Chefs. In that period the one constant has been the LVN medical director, which I believe has been the driver of constant attrition of caregivers who are underpaid, overextended, poorly trained and mis managed . The sad part is that Cortona has hired some really excellent people along the way, most unfortunately don't stay. After 7 years we had to move my 95 year old mother into skilled nursing because 2 new & inexperienced Cortona caregivers dropped my mother on the floor while attempting to get her into the shower, breaking her good leg and reinjuring the leg she broke 6 years earlier; two broken legs. She will be in bed the reminder of her lifetime because of our experience at Cortona Park. My observations are based on my daily presence in Cortona over the 7 years.

January 30, 2020Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are committed to continuous quality service and care and will share your feedback with our management team.
My mother has been living at Cortona Park for around 3 months. It took time to find new doctors and follow thru with appointments. The staff at Cortona Park were and are very understanding and helpful thru the process. Staff has found a balance between encouragement to participate in activities and understanding the transition process of relocating far from er home. I have confidence that my mother will continue to make new friends and participate in more events as time goes on. The caregivers are great. They have a joy about giving assistance and not being forceful. The med techs are wonderful. The professionalism and attention to detail assures safety. It is a big relief to be able to count of professionals to take care of my Mom's medications. The procedures are in place and followed so nothing falls thru the cracks.

A Place for Mom has scored Cogir of Brentwood 10 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
