Memory Care
The staff here has really been good. The community is clean and they keep my aunts room clean as well. My aunt does not eat really, but the food looks good. I like that they have a lot of things to keep the residents active.
I was fortunate to find a memory care unit that both my parents could move to and stay together. The care my parents are getting is wonderful and the staff is always very helpful when I have a question. My parents haven't really gotten in to the activities yet but they have only been there for 2 months. I no longer need to worry if they are safe or need something because I feel Morningside is taking good care of them. The staff checks on them frequently and is very attentive to their needs concerning personal hygiene. Medication management has been flawless. Questions are answered easily by checking excellent records kept on chart. I have been very happy so far.
This facility is very warm and welcoming on the front end. Housekeeping is often and not perfect, but they do a good job for the most part. Ongoing communication with the family needs improvement. If we reach out we can usually get answers, but it would be nice to receive updates on dad. Especially with him being in memory care and not being able to tell us things on his own. Like activities, for example. I know they have them, but I don't know if he participates or not. One thing I would suggest is offsite activities. I don't think they have them but I think they should. Overall, dad's needs are being met and he is taken care of here. We didn't have a lot of time to look around, our need was pretty immediate. If we would have had time to look around, I'm not sure this would have been our top choice. However, it's working out ok. I would recommend them to family and friends.
