It’s important to know that Medicaid doesn’t cover housing expenses for senior apartments. The NC Innovations Waiver provides a comprehensive range of support services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities who require an ICF/IID level of care. This includes community navigation and networking, day and residential support, respite care, supported employment, assistive technology, and financial support services, as well as crisis services, home modifications, natural support education, specialized consultation, and vehicle modification services.
The NC TBI Waiver program provides day support, personal care, residential support, resource facilitation, respite, supported employment, therapy services, assistive technology, and more to individuals ages 18 or older who have sustained a brain injury and require a hospital or nursing facility level of care.
