The Cottages at Woodland Terrace is a luxury patio home community specially designed for seniors. Located in Milledgeville, Georgia, The Cottages are just a one and a half hour drive from Atlanta. If your parents are tired of running around in the rat race and want to settle down a bit, our cottages may be just the thing they are looking for. The Cottages are available on a 12-month lease. Each cottage provides everything a senior could need: security system in each unit; 36-inch wide doors; levers instead of knobs; raised toilets and counter tops; zero entry thresholds; built-in garage; attic storage and lots of closet space. Everyone knows that a feeling of community is highly important to a healthy lifestyle. The Cottages at Woodland Terrace are designed to feel like a neighborhood. Seniors can walk their pets in the evening with their friends, throw a party, invite relatives over for a visit, or take part in one of our many weekly activities. The Cottages at Woodland Terrace were selected as the 2016 Reader's Choice Award Winner by The Union-Recorder for Best Senior Living Center.

"I was leery at first; nervous I would get a bunch of calls or
emails from numerous nursing homes. Instead I only got a
couple calls from ones that fit the criteria you and I discussed.
It was perfect - you did a great job. I am so glad I
trusted you, you did exactly what you said you would."

What a blessing it was that you and I connected. You
helped me tremendously with my mother during a very difficult
time. Mom seems to be doing very well. She is comfortable
and safe. Greenfield is a very good fit for her and in a great
location for our family to visit.
The move has given my family relief and peace of
mind... We are very happy that she is not alone and has a
community to look after her when we are not able to be there. I
recommend you and A Place for Mom to all my friends.

For our art workshop this month we will see that anyone can draw! The concept of drawing on the right side of the brain, developed by Betty Edwards, makes drawing surprisingly possible for many who thought they couldn't draw a "stick man"! The concept is best explained by Richard Bergland, a neurosurgeon, in his book "The Fabric of Mind": "You have two brains: a left and a right. Modern brain scientists now know that your left brain is your verbal and rational brain; it thinks serially and reduces its thoughts to numbers letters and words...Your right brain is your nonverbal and intuitive brain; it thinks in patterns or pictures, composted of 'whole things,' and does not comprehend reductions, either numbers, letters, or words." Come join us and be amazed!
