Located in Milledgeville, Georgia, The Cottages are just a one and a half hour drive from Atlanta. If your parents are tired of running around in the rat race and want to settle down a bit, our cottages may be just the thing they are looking for. The Cottages are available on a 12-month lease. Each cottage provides everything a senior could need: security system in each unit; 36-inch wide doors; levers instead of knobs; raised toilets and counter tops; zero entry thresholds; built-in garage; attic storage and lots of closet space. Everyone knows that a feeling of community is highly important to a healthy lifestyle. The Cottages of Milledgeville are designed to feel like a neighborhood. Seniors can walk their pets in the evening with their friends, throw a party, invite relatives over for a visit, or take part in one of our many weekly or monthly activities.<br><br>The Cottages of Milledgeville was selected four years running as Reader's Choice Award Winner by The Union-Recorder for Best Senior Living Center.<br><br>We have recently opened our assisted living residence, or Main Cottage. It is warm and cozy and feels like home as soon as you walk in the front door. There is a well-appointed common living room with fireplace, built-in book cases and beautiful crown molding around the high ceilings that are accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows. The Story & Clark baby grand piano not only sets off the room perfectly, but also provides beautiful entertainment thanks to visiting pianists.<br><br>Our Main Cottage has a total of 35,000 square feet of space, with 33 suites ranging in size from studio suites 370+/- square feet, to a two bedroom - two bath suite with 797+/- square feet of space. All suites have a living room with crown molding at the top of the ten-foot walls, and a separate bedroom, bath (half of which are handicapped and allow one to roll into the shower) with a walk-in closet. Our Assisted Living Residence is fully staffed with a nurse and certified nursing assistants ("CNAs") and provides transportation for local medical appointments, assistance with daily living tasks, and oversight of medications.
