Located at the base of the spectacular Green Mountains in Poway, California, Sunshine Care provides residents with the benefits of a small, intimate setting along with the range and quality of services found in a large-scale facility. Designed by internationally known gerontologist/architect, Dr. Uriel Cohen, Sunshine Care is arranged as several small households, allowing our assistants and caregivers to concentrate on giving individualized, special care to every resident.

All of our living environments were created with the individual’s safety and comfort in mind, with pathways that allow for ease of movement and an “at-home” environment that creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Our professional and experienced staff is focused on all of your loved one’s needs—from personal hygiene and medication management—to social interaction and activities that keep the body and mind active as possible. We promote the safety and independence of residents by providing a complete and varied social schedule and by encouraging them to decorate their bedrooms with familiar photos and mementos of family and home. Residents may also bring their own furniture, should they desire.
