Carol and Don Lalonde opened Comfort Keepers of West Houston – Katy because they have personally witnessed the difficulty seniors experience as they age and try to remain at home. The first time they experienced the need for senior home care services occurred when Don’s father became very ill. His mother attempted to care for Don’s dad, but it was an overwhelming effort. At that time they were not able to find the type of services Comfort Keepers offers. And shortly after, they experienced similar frustrations when Carols’ mother became ill. They recognize there are similar situations today where seniors are unable to find the assistance they need to live safely and independently at home.Their goals are to put the Comfort Keepers first and to become an integral part of the Katy, West Houston, Cinco Ranch, Bear Creek, Copperfield, Cypress, Willowbrook, and Jersey Village communities so they can help provide assistance to those seniors and their families.Comfort Keepers is widely recognized as a leading provider of quality in-home care to seniors who need help with the activities of daily living. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our clients as we help them live safely and independently in the comfort of their home. The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home care, whom we call Comfort Keepers, are carefully selected, screened and trained to provide professional, compassionate care. Our Comfort Keepers practice a unique form of caring for seniors known as Interactive Caregiving®. Please refer to interactivecaregiving.com for more information.

"I just visited Mom today and she looks 110% better. So far she
loves the new place. I think it reminds her of college days. The
staff has been wonderful and prompt to any concerns I have had. She
even told me she doesn't remember her old house and never wants to
go back there! You were just wonderful and helpful to us and I
could not have asked for anything more to be done. Thank you so

"I usually don't pay attention to television commercials, but I
noticed the one for A Place for Mom. I didn't expect to ever call
you. Your sincerity and kindness came through during our
telephone calls and it was greatly appreciated by me. It is crucial
to interface with a person with whom you can relate to, rely upon
their judgment and honesty. You certainly made today better for
me, and that is saying a lot."
