Caring and professional staff that work together to provide outstanding care
Benchmark really impressed me initially when I first started looking because I could see how the staff worked as a team, which is important for keeping a facility like that running smoothly
The staff are highly engaged and genuinely care about the wellbeing of the residents. They are very professional and open to working with family members to ensure needs are met.
I've only seen the studio which is what my loved one has, but it is a good size, and equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. It also has a walk in shower, toilet with grab bars and accessible bathroom sink.

Our families experience
When it comes to the staff members and the quality of care has been very good. The activities themselves are very good - the residents and even our loved one really enjoy the pool noodle game where they bat around the balloon - they all seem to really love that. Based on our experience so far we would recommend Benchmark Senior Living to other families.

Tour of Benchmark
I toured Benchmark Senior Living on Clapboardtree. The community tour and first impression were both good. However, they weren't not available/open for respite stay. We would've had to bring in furniture, etc., for a 3 week stay. We chose another community because Benchmark couldn't provide what we needed at that moment.

So Far, So Good
We are very happy with our experience. The staff are great to work with when in person, if I have to leave a voicemail or email the return can be a little slow.
The community is able to provide medication management, and bathing as some care available for the residents.
There seems to be a lot of activities for the residents to choose from.

Our experience with Benchmark
All of the staff were friendly and I thought it was a nice place for him, there were a lot of good things about it. He acted up and I do not think they handled the situation well at all. If your loved one just needs assisted living it would be a really great fit, but I would not recommend for memory care.

The one thing that made us not want to go with this community was the fact that they required the residents to get vaccinated. We did not believe that everyone should have to be vaccinated. We liked the community but that one thing pushed us to another community.

Smooth transition
The day to day staff members and the residents are so friendly, warm and welcoming. However the nursing staff is not friendly at all, and do not express empathy towards the residents or other staff members. The meals are great and the dining staff is amazing. The activities director [name removed] is truly the best. He is fabulous and very caring.

I would recommend Benchmark
This past year has been difficult with the pandemic and now always getting to see our loved one on our own time, but all in all our loved one is well fed, well taken care of and always kept clean. She has never once complained to us regarding any red flags, everyone is nice to our loved one which was the most important thing to us. We wanted to find a place where she is safe.

The community was clean. The dinning room didn't use table cloths. They always made sure to greet the residents by and make them feel at home. They had good activities. We thought Benchmark was a good value.

She's enjoying it!
My mother is really enjoying being at the Benchmark Senior Living. They are taking good care of her and the food is very good, I have had a couple of meals with her. I would recommend this community to anyone looking because it has been such a positive experience for us.

Great Care for mom
I was fortunate to have my mom be part of a brand new community. She was the 7th resident. I wanted her to be part of starting a community rather than the "New Kid on the Block." I am very happy with the care that my mom is getting from the great staff. They are always friendly and caring. The community is beautiful and clean. The activities are wonderful and they care about what the residents are interested in! Everyone seems very happy. The menu is good and they are open to new meal suggestions. The rooms and facilities are very nice. Very good location and easy to get to.
