Absolutely no parking. The building was built to house more people than parking places. It is not going to be corrected per management. This is the older building not the new building across the street. Their aware of the problem so elderly visitors, family, care takers cars are towed away from that location Starwood. It will cost you 345.00 to get it out. If you have no family, visitors, healthcare needs, this place will work. Otherwise..stay away from the company. Management is unfriendly , too bad, finding rent is hard so we don’t care. I have a family member there.. His family and friends are furious about this issue

I lived there for a year, and it was a miserable year, Especially toward the last 5 months, the hall carpets on every floor are filthy, the management doesn't care what your concerns are and on top of this when I moved after being an excellent resident paying full rent early every month and moving out leaving my apartment clean and in order and have pictures to prove it, And I moved out 3 days before the end of the month which I paid the full month. I was not returned but 1 day of the rent paid that I did not live there and after 2 weeks finally the manager called me and I told her I have a written receipt proving I turned my keys in on [date removed] and leaving 3 days rent that should have been returned to me and I got only one, she agreed yet I have not gotten those other 2 days yet. And don't expect to get your deposit back when you because they will trump up whatever the need to and take at least 1/2 of it from you.. I have owned and rented many homes in my life and always got full deposit back because I leave any home I have lived in good condition and have never been treated like I have been at this property. I am now happy where I moved and pray that will not change. A big negative change happened after the best maintenance man [name removed] left and the manager [name removed] left. After they left the place just began a downward spiral

I'd like to write my review on the facts I've seen. Starting with the latest, to the oldest, when I moved in almost 2 years ago.... and the negative: *75% of the time, Brown water comes out of the bath tap/office says its city water, nothing they can do, that "I'm not alone, everyone has it". *This week a resident on my floor told me she had an Amazon package sitting at her door and was away at the hospital for 2 days. She asked the office to retrieve it for her, they refused. It was stolen. *Today another resident on my floor was bitten by a problematic dog who lives in the building. The office told her to call animal control. *There is a second problematic dog that has bitten several people. It bit the Manager last month. The owner is still allowed to have it outside, without a muzzle. The owner is on a walker, and has little control of it. It goes wild when it sees other dogs. *The resident across from me today told me her dish was stolen from her "counter" next to her door. (most residents decorate their small counter there) *To get a Reserved parking, a medical notice is required. Yet, the maintenance personnel, who do not live her, park in Reserved parking. *The sewer vents are located in the bottom floor of the stairwell, causing the stairwells to smell horribly, which flows into the hallways. *The carpets are stained and disgusting, with urine, smoke, and garbage liquid. I doubt they have ever been cleaned. *Residents on the third floor jimmy the doors leading outside so their relatives (30 yr olds) can come in without a passage key. They party late into the early morning hours. The police have come so often, they don't even respond anymore. The office put a note on the door saying to pull the door closed after using "to keep out Undesirables". LOL *Due to the pandemic, the residents they are up for eviction due to noise problem and rule-breaking, cannot be evicted. *This is a non-smoking building, but only a handful of smokers go outside. The halls often smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke. *The workout room has had most of the gear stolen that isn't bolted down. The 2 treadmills blink "Service Needed, Lubricate Rollers" and have never been serviced. Tho I asked the office last year a few times. *The "Office" space upstairs used to provide a printer. No paper was provided, but the printer needed ink and was never refilled. So it was simply turned off. *The MiniMart was shut down several years ago, they emptied it and installed candy and coke machine, and use the rest of the room space to store old furniture. *The pergola sitting space outside used to have furniture, the structure was leaning and a deadly hazard. After months of leaving it that way without fixing it, they simply put Yellow Caution tape around it, and took that furniture and added it to the MiniMart room. Eventually they took the structure down. But did not return the outside furniture. *The "trails of nature for meditation and walking" ? is a sidewalk that runs about half the building, and is right on the edge of busy 172nd, and the road that now leads to the very busy Lodge apartments next door. *The walk-to-shopping is a Dick's sporting goods, Party City and Mod Pizza. *Delivery people must buzz to get in the front door, and many cannot contact the office , and they rely on residents happening to be coming in or out. They often try to leave packages in the lobby without bringing them up to the resident's apt, so you never really know if your package has arrived. You really have to track it and pay attention. The office says they won't accept them for you, but last year there were many packages in the office, with the apt number written on the outside. BUT they never bothered to let you know that you have one there...! You just have to happen to go down and check. *SO, when I first moved in: water did not go down the tub/reason: I pulled out the stopper and it had about a foot of Hair attached to it. The toilet wouldn't stop running. They had an "emergency" number maintenance to call. I called but never got an answer. I fixed both myself. The washer, dishwasher did not work. The kitchen sink handles were lose and falling off. *All fact. I am surprised not more reviews appear, but 8 isn't much. Much to consider. Look deep.

I wrote a previous review that was not very positive and I regret some of it as I wrote it on a very bad day with this Covid19 shutdown and kind of just couldn't take one more negative report, And if I could delete the review I would but it doesn't appear anyone reads these much anyway. I usually am very active and busy and I have been unable to participate in my usual activities now for 2 and half months, but that was very selfish of me as no one else has been able to either. Though some are not so negatively impacted by having to stay in and do very little as I am I think. Having worked as an RN for almost 40 years I am used to being active and just staying in has been extremely difficult. Now the weather is getting nicer and I and my dog can get out and walk I am feeling much better. The manager here and the staff are doing their very best under very difficult circumstances and this is of no fault of their's or anyone else. I am blessed to be able to live here and while I do hope I can get an apartment soon away from the noise of traffic on 172nd, I am comfortable and so blessed to be healthy during these difficult times. Please ignore my negative review of earlier, there is nothing perfect in life, this is not heaven, but considering how many are really struggling and facing losing so much I have no reason or desire to complain.

When the availability of the apartment I was meant to move into in Bellingham fell through, the staff at the Vintage at Lakewood worked overtime to push through the paperwork to get me into my current apartment, and I couldn't be happier. This place is really great. It's fairly new and well maintained, within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the Smokey Point Everett Clinic. My apartment is spacious and well laid out. The closet space is not huge, but it is adequate for one person in a one room unit, and there are storage cubicles available upon request.

My Mom loves her new apartment, she’s been moved in for just over 2 months. She loves her new space and being in a secure, well-kept building. The apartment is much smaller but easier to clean and manage. If forced her to get rid of things she didn’t need. The staff has been fantastic and they met her special need of needing bars in the bathroom after she moved in. There are lots of activities so she can be involved or not. She is happy being independent, having all her services within 5 miles, most within 2! She happens to love having her own washer and dryer in her own apartment. She only wishes there was a Trader Joe’s nearby and she still had a garage but has adjusted fine.

It has been an adjustment to the community, but things are going well for me. The apartments look great and the landscaping is beautiful. The staff is okay, some of the staff can have attitudes at times. There is one staff member who is amazing and very sweet. They do offer nice activities like bible study, movie nights, and a mobile library. The improvements they are making are nice. I feel comfortable and safe here. I would recommend it.

My dog and I are current residents at Vintage at Lakewood. Our experience here has been excellent. Prior to moving in they suggested I have my dog certified so that he can stay with me, since he is over the weight limit, and I couldn't be happier! The staff keep the place in great condition, and most of them are very friendly and helpful. I am still trying to get used to the apartment life, but having a huge kitchen and a great group of new friends makes it easier. I am very confident that things will continue to go well and I would recommend this community.
