While the Village Veranda has its issues, our loved one is happily singing, playing ball, playing games and dancing without worry. The Activity Director makes this facility the best we've seen, and we've seen many. As I told my Dad, our loved one is enjoying herself. It's that her not wearing socks, or another's clothes or not being showered as much as we'd like that is really our hang up. It's all how you look at it. As with most businesses today, staffing is a problem. We see different faces, some wonderful and friendly and others not so much. But overall, we believe the care that our loved one gets is equal to anywhere else we go. We are at the facility often and clean our loved one, check her stuff and dress her if need be. Even weekdays don't have much to do. \n\nWe do get a lot of live music, but not much crafting activities. We play a few games, but I wish there was more.\n\nSome care staff could use more training and increase speed of service when we request assistance.
