We love it, and my sister who lives there loves it too! We were very pleased by the entire process from beginning to end. I want to make special note of mentioning [name removed], the Marketing Director. When we went, she gave us a tour of the place, she answered all of our questions, and she was wonderful. Every encounter we had with her was wonderful. If you're a marketing manager, you may have a tendency to oversell the place. We saw other places and they want to tell you things, but when you look around you see that it's not what they say. She didn't oversell The Pointe, everything she said was 100% true. She was wonderful and I want to make sure she gets recognition.

I moved in a month ago and although I picked the place myself, I am extremely pleased. I love living here even more than I ever expected. I stop by [name removed]'s office everyday to thank her for her help getting me my apartment.
I have been touring many communities for my aunt. this tour, building, and the woman giving the tour was the best yet. I never felt pressured or like I was just a job to her. she took the time to explain giving me more information that I had gotten from other place I visited combined. we are now working on getting my aunt into this place. thank you [name removed] for treating me so kindly. I would give 10 stars if I could.
we were working with [name removed] to get my mom into this place. [name removed] was so kind and helpful. we know my mom would love to live here. unfortunately, my mom passed away unexpectedly before moving in. I would suggest this place to anyone looking to move their loved one in to a senior building. the best!
Nice community, pleasant environment, clean rooms. There were wanting extra paperwork that other communities were not and this was a downfall.

Wow! This community does not disappoint. My mom is thrilled to be living here. She moved in 4 months ago and has been very pleased, we are very grateful she loves where she lives.
This place was close to home and work for me. Very clean.

[name removed] Dir. of Sales & Mrktg. is very thorough with giving information and answering questions. Upon entry of the facility it is bright, cheery and welcoming! The common areas were well lit and clean making it inviting for the residents. They're a lot of activities and plenty of amenities to care for resident's needs. The one item of concern is the apts. are kinda small and boxy. However, we're looking forward to a return visit with the relative.

I think we may have got [name removed] on an off day. We aren't sure that this will be a good fit for our mom. When asked about scenarios of how mom would be cared for in Memory care, it didn't seem like there was much individuality, just the way things are done.

My mother was here for a total of 6 months. Place is really nice and clean. Rooms are nice. My mom made a lot of friends during the short time she was there. My issue is the nursing staff. My mom really started to go downhill health wise and eventually needed medication management. The CNA's were not very efficient with giving medicines and there was a high turnover of CNA's. Half the time my mom would not be bathed and I would have to complain but when I did it was taken care of. Beware though if your loved one has any cash laying around it might go missing. My mom was in the hospital, then went to inpatient hospice. When she passed away there was $20.00 missing out of her drawer. Not sure why there was such a high turnover but hopefully this has changed since 2019

My mom is not enjoying the food now like she was when she first moved in. The main meal is at lunch time, at dinner they have lighter options, like salad or sandwiches. My mom is not liking the dinner options lately. We really like the staff and her room is wonderful. We are glad we were able to get her into The Pointe. My mom has been healthier in the last 5 months she has lived at The Pointe then she had been in the last year living on her own.

Short staffed. Rude workers. Workers do not wear name tags and are defensive. Unprofessional. My mom was dropped twice. Administration is stressed out and not empathetic to patient needs.

My family looked at many assisted living places, and our goal is to get my brother from rehab to this facility. We don't know if my brother can make the transition from skilled nursing to assisted living , but if if he does we are definitely going to Kilpatrick. Thank you [name removed] for introducing us to this caring place. [Name removed]

My mother is currently living here. She loves it. She has made many friends and they have bingo and pokeno. Overall it has been an excellent place for her. The only negative that we have experienced is the nursing staff. They have a high turnover and my mother requires medication management. She has ended up in the hospital twice due to her not getting her medication as prescribed. If your loved one has a medical condition that requires strict medical management this is an area that needs significant improvement. You have to continually call the nursing station to make sure the medication is being filled by their pharmacy and that it is being given as prescribed.

My parents are here currently and seem to like it. The building is very clean, the help is very friendly, and the meals are really good. The staff is very responsive and seem to be knowledgeable about the type of care they need. The facility offers different activities every day like bingo, bunco, and occasional outings. They also have a hairdresser available, which is very convenient. The thing I like most about this community is that, even if a resident runs out of funds, they won’t kick them out. They’ll work with them to find different options of paying. From the overall experience our family has had with this place, I would recommend them.

I am very happy with the people here. Everyone is super friendly, the facility is clean, and there are tons of activities. Everyone is on a first name basis so it’s great. They have group exercise classes every day, they provide bingo, trivia, live entertainment, and right now they’re big on the Christmas activities. From what I have observed the food is good and well balanced. I most definitely recommend this facility to other people that are looking into their options. The location is convenient for me and I like their inclusive pricing.

This is a wonderful facility. The only draw back is the reception. I did not feel welcome when I first arrived. This is a tough decision for a family to make and greeting when arriving speaks volumes.

A Place for Mom has scored The Pointe at Kilpatrick 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
