Value for cost
The community does a good job engaging residents and having activities for them to do. I feel that you should definitely look into the community and see if it would be a good fit for your loved one. The value is very good also compared to other communities.
Overall, we're pleased. Like with any place, we've had some issues here and there - with the laundry, and a couple of times they confused our loved one with another resident [removed] when they approached her about a medical issues. I think they've had a lot of staff change in the last few months, which is maybe where the confusion has come in. But we like the convenience of the place. And overall people are nice, including the residents. Our loved one seems pleased with the new chef. Communication can be lacking a little at times between staff and resident. But overall we're very pleased.
The community is clean and neat and the staff is very friendly. They have plenty of activities for the residence to participate in and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
My mom was living at The Gables for approximately 3 years. We were happy up until the last year. The last year we experienced a management change which resulted in personnel changes and a severe drop in resident care. This includes clinical care, hygiene, and basic housecleaning. We were forced to move my mother to another facility. The Gables has experienced a high rate of Covid infections and I would strongly advise against moving your loved one there.
This facility has a new name now. So far, we have seen a continuing of the same principles that Brookdale had and we have no complaints. They seem to be keeping us well informed and we are going through a test since my brother just tested positive. They are doing a great job with communication. I would want others to know when looking into Brookdale that we had experience with other facilitates and there is night and day difference with activity, care, etc. here. What really impressed me was in the memory care unit, they are like a family. It is a contained unit and there are activities that residents are encouraged to participate in. They want them to be active members of the community. When you walk in you hear residents laughing, they are smiling, there is not a lost look like we saw at the previous facilities.
There is a complete family feel at this community. The residents feel like they are part of a family and that family cares for them. The residents are happy and eager to participate. Staff is very accessible to the family which has meant a lot to us. They have good communication and keep us well informed. Rooms are all studios. Residents like the food and they have a menu to choose from. We feel secure with him at Brookdale. They have been very proactive in his care, they have great follow up.Doctors and PA’s are available every week to residents.
Personalized care and very nice rooms.
This is a very big facility with a lot of amenities. However, we got a rushed tour, didn't see everything, and our guide had difficulty even finding the model rooms. The person who was supposed to give us a tour couldn't be there and the one who did was from skilled nursing and did not know a lot about assisted living though that was what we were there for. We were promised a phone call on Monday which never happened either. Too high prices and a rushed tour turned us off this facility

Thank you for taking the time to visit. We are sorry to hear Brookdale Greenville did not meet your expectations. We would welcome an opportunity to discuss with you further and encourage you to reach out to our local management team.
MY LOVE ONE WAS THERE FOR 6 DAYS. THE FIRST DAY HE FELL 2 TIMES. 1 FROM HIS BED AND THEN FROM A WHEEL CHAIR. HE ENDED UP IN THE ER THAT FIRST NIGHT. WAS SENT BACK THERE AND HE FELL 4 MORE TIMES UNTIL THE LAST FALL WAS TAKEN TO THE ER AGAIN WITH A REALLY LARGE LARGE BRUISE ON HIS HEAD, THE ROOM WAS REALLY SMALL. IT WAS A SHARED ROOM. NOT CLEAN AND CLUTTERED. I COULD SAY MORE AND SHARE PICS THAT I HAVE BUT PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVE ONE THERE.

This is a nice facility. Its a 3-story facility and nicely laid out. The unit is a bit smaller than we hoped for but the common areas are laid out nicely. The rooms have a small fridge and microwave. This is our choice for my parents - so far. Plenty of staff and activities. They answered all questions so hopefully no unexpected surprises.
First, I would like to say that Brookdale, Greenville, has an outstanding staff of professional people, who are not only knowledgeable people but caring and respectful. All staff members go the extra mile to maintain all the needs of their residents. My Mom loves music, I think many people share that joy. More music would be most welcomed. There are no favorite people on staff, they are all equally valued and loved. High qualified personnel and fun loving people are what we strive in the care of our loved ones and the is duly noted at Brookdale Greenville.
We toured this community for the care that my husband needed .We were very happy with the staff who were understanding. The community has a nice menu and they offer a list of activities that would have been helpful to his needs. This was not the environment that my husband would be comfortable with. We would suggest tour options of care
Beautiful facility, resembling a hotel. The staff was knowledgeable and professional, and had a great rapport with the residents. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and [Removed] did a wonderful job of showing us the property and explaining the tiers of care. The residents seemed very pleased and happy. The facility was very clean and had lots of natural light.
Nice, clean, new senior living option but I was not in favor of the larger complex and they did not allow pets. A little more expensive than others but single pricing
This was a nice community and we enjoyed the tour. The people were super nice and helpful with getting us around. The community was clean as well. We just thought that this was not the right community for mom.
Would not put a dog in their. Father was in their for a month after he left I contacted dept of aging along with omnibudsman.
My husband and I had a pretty good experience here at this community. My husband has since passed, and I moved back home. Everybody was very kind and helpful. They provided my husband with great care. The only issue I have had is they will not refund me for my unused balanced, since I moved out a month early. Other than the billing issue this is a good community. I would recommend it.
Moving my loved one here was a very big mistake. I would never recommend Brookdale Greenville to anyone. It was nice when it used to be a [Removed], but not anymore.
I am very impressed with Brookdale this is a wonderful community. My father and step mother are doing amazing here and they seem happy. The staff is courteous and helpful and very attentive to my parents. The facility is amazing and very clean well maintained. My parents enjoy the food and my stepmother state of mind has improved since they moved here. It has been a wonderful experience for us and I would highly recommend this community.
Horrible. Please keep your loved one away.
