A very good fit

It was a good experience working with the staff here at The Bridge at Paradise Valley. I like the facility - as we were going through the process and even today, it has been a great fit. I have nothing bad at all to say about the staff, they have all been wonderful. She has a deluxe suite that is close to the dining room and it is on the first floor and easy to get to. The nurses office is also right down the hall which is nice in case she ever needs anything. We were very pleased with the placement of the room. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others looking.... Read more

Tour experience

We toured with The Bridge at Paradise Valley. They had us wait 20 minutes when we arrived at the appointed time The meet and greet person at front desk barely acknowledged us. The lady who talked to us was not very warm. Friendly but not warm . The room was not user friendly. Very few people there. First impression. Nope.

Tour experience

Initially the Bridge at Paradise Valley was our first choice. The staff here were really great - but they were limited on their care. They did not take my dad because they felt that they would not be able to take care of his needs - in particular his diabetic care needs.

They Do The Best They Can, With What They Have

The community is currently having issues with the Executive Director and Corporate are trying to find a new Director and fixing issues. The staff that I have meet with are very responsive, and caring towards my loved one. The front desk is manned until around 5-6 pm, and this is where you go to ask for assistance. The community was serving soybean burgers instead of hamburgers and the corporate office is trying to work getting these issues fixed, along with others. The community tries to keep the residents engaged in activities. They are receptive to residents feedback.

Would Not Recommend

The management is disconnected from what is happening with the staff. The facility is severely understaffed. There is no process if a staff member were to call in. For the dining menu- it is not designed for seniors. Most are diabetic or hypertensive. The menu should have more fresh options, low salt options, less processed foods. Fried foods covered in gravy are not healthy choices. They do encourage social interaction. They do have plenty of entertainment

A Good Place; However, Visit Your Loved One Frequently

This is a good experience overall. However, if your loved one has a lot of care needs the community may not be able to meet them all. It would have been nice to know more about the demographic of the residents when we posed this question to the community during the tour. There are three meals a day served to the residents along with snacks that are available. The residents also have choices to choose from. The community is able to provide hygiene care, housekeeping, changing of linens, and medication management for our loved one. The community took a bit time to organize the medications for our loved one, and this was a concern for the family at first.

A Good Place for Mom

As long as you understand where your loved one is cognitively. This is a great assisted living and independent living. The staff provided good care, the community was just understaffed. The staff communication with the family was okay, it was sometimes hard to get ahold of them because of them being understaffed. There are three meals a day served to the residents and they have choices to choose from.

Tour experience

We had a wonderful tour experince with The Bridge at Paradise Valley. The facility was very nice, clean, and the staff could not have been more helpful. We went around Easter and they had the facility beautifully decorated. All of the residents that we saw during the tour seemed to be very happy.

Very friendly and caring

It was very hard and emotional to move my mother out of her home. The staff at the Bridge were wonderful in helping with her transition. It’s very comforting to know my mom has someone to check on her through out the day and help with her needs.

In Less Than 2 Months My Loved One Went From Walking with a Cane to Hospice and Not for Medical Conditions

I reported the community. The community is the worse of the worse. It was a horrible experience for our loved one. This is the worse place we could have put my loved one. They are firing people to try to protect themselves. The communication with the family was horrible from the staff. They changed my loved one's doctor without telling the family. They didn't tell us about going to the hospital without telling the family. The only way I knew about it was from medical bills.

They were there when we needed them and took good care of her

They did a good job while our loved one was there and it was very clean. The staff members were good, and while the food was not excellent overall it was pretty good. Our loved one was not able to participate in the activities but they seemed good. We thought the value was right where it needed to be compared to other communities in the area.

happy with the experience

Mom has not been there very long, but so far we are happy with the experience. We came in at a time when they were changing management and there was some confusion, but we've gotten past that. They are very quick to give me a call if mom needs something or there is something I need to be made aware of. It's been a good experience and I would recommend The Bridge at Paradise Valley.

They are doing a pretty good job.

It's very clean and the staff is friendly. They are doing a pretty good job. They were very good about working with us on price. We are very happy with value. There are little things that probably still need to be worked out. She seems satisfied with the food, but I would like to see a few more fresh veggies and things.

genuinely care

The staff at The Bridge at Paradise Valley was very engaged with the residents. They seem to genuinely care. The activities are very well organized. The only think I can think of that there has been an issue with is that when my mother had an ulcer on her heel there was some question as to whether they should take care of it there or take her to the hospital, but that ended up getting resolved.
