This is currently our first choice. My brother and sister in law were happy and impressed with the facility. [Name removed] was wonderful and helpful. Considering
Our Aunt has been at Shady Oaks since the end of April and we couldn't be more pleased! Her room is beautiful, the staff is wonderful and our Aunt is happy.
In looking for a place to make my dads last home, my siblings and I didn't hesitate picking Shady Oaks after meeting Tyson and his staff. They immediately became family and went above and beyond to make the transition for my dad coming from the Cape. Even though he was only there 2 weeks, he loved it, loved the staff and particularly loved his time spent with [name removed], talking about being in the service, their experiences at Yale and so much more. He was happy and loved his new room and everyone there. I can never repay their kindness but will always remember them all fondly for treating my dad like their own family. I would recommend them very highly.
We looked at many facilities for my 95 year old Mom. When we visited Shady Oaks we immediately felt the small, cozy and homey environment was perfect fit. It's been family owned for decades and present owner [Removed] is hands on, always present...willing to do anything for the residents. The nursing staff communicates often with us. Doctors visit regularly. No bureaucracy to get answers. Mom likes the meals and activities. Highly recommended.
Everyone was extremely welcoming & helpful. Tyson spent so much time learning about my families needs/desires to see if Shady Oaks was a good fit. Facility is very homey.
