When selecting a facility for our brother, Pacifica Peoria stood out. The staff appeared to be very attentive and caring to the residents. The layout with different cottages for different stages was also appealing.

We had a great tour experience with Pacifica Senior Living Peoria and actually really liked this facility. Unfortunately we found the director at Pacifica to be very un-engaged and never reached out to us. But the sales person who showed us around on the tour was wonderful.

The staff was very difficult to work with hard time with communication, checking on loved one , getting outside medical care access , getting her services like nails and hair was impossible. [name removed], the manager of the place is a terrible person. She made every interaction unpleasant. She is the reason we moved my loved one. Get rid of [name removed]. She really is the only problem. The staff was nice , but would not give us any updates on her care or daily demeanor with approval from [name removed]. We were concerned she wasn't getting her meds properly , but nobody was allowed to answer our questions unless [name removed] was there. As far as I know [name removed]has no medical credentials. It was the strangest most inappropriate relationship.

August 10, 2023Due to patient privacy laws, we are unable to respond directly about a current or former resident’s care. We investigated your statement and some of the facts are different than your recall. Calls to the executive director are returned within 24 hours from either the director, or a member of the administration staff such as our Resident Care Director. We understand that caring for seniors can sometimes be challenging and we endeavor to ensure that all residents are treated with utmost respect, dignity, and care. Our community is staffed according to each residents needs in the cottages and we use correct ratio of staffing per person based specifically on their care plan and personal needs. Our community is open 7 days a week to accommodate those who have a typical 40 hour work schedule. Visitors who want to come after hours, can contact the administration team to set up an appointed time to visit. Visiting hours are posted in numerous places throughout the community. The care and safety of our residents is important to us. We use visiting hours to a maintain a homelike setting and to respect resident privacy. We work closely under the direction of our residents Primary Care Physician for health care and follow what they prescribe as we are a Memory Care Community that specializes in providing care with Activities of Daily Living.
Terrible communication from executive director, minimal interaction with residents from caregivers, since visiting hours are limited and do not include dining hours it's hard to make sure residents are eating, staff does not monitor/encourage water consumption, activities in each cottage is scarce.

March 31, 2023Calls to the executive director are returned within 24 hours. As you may appreciate, there are many constraints on an executive director's time, and much of that is spent with current residents and families. Once a family makes the decision to move in a loved one, the POA is fully briefed on visiting hours and how to set up additional appointments outside of those hours. We keep track of the food that each resident consumes on a daily basis to ensure that they are getting balanced nutrition. This includes beverages and water at meal and snack times. Each cottage has a hydration station for refreshments between meals. Please take a look at our Facebook page and you will see posts of the residents and activities along with sample menus. We hope that you will stop by again for another visit.
We have never been given a menu, for the food. They need to have an administration, with integrity and that does not lie. There needs to be answered questions when your loved ones have questions. The residents are left in clothing for weeks and they smell. They are not being helped, they don't take care of grooming habits, and their teeth are not brushed. The resident's hygiene needs are not being met. According to Pacifica, rules we are supposed to be given a list of loved ones' belongings, and they are responsible for what has been checked in. I was told, It does not pertain to this Pacifica.

April 17, 2023We take every review of our community seriously. Our food menus are done weekly and posted in each of the cottages. Alternatively, copies are available at the front desk. Our culinary team takes diet needs and nutritional intake for dementia-diagnosed residents as well as resident preferences into consideration when planning menus. Our administration team immediately addresses concerns over resident care when brought to our attention. The care provided to our residents is in a care plan and discussed with the POA and communication is primarily between the POA and the administration team. Grooming as well as other assistance of daily living services are listed in each personalized care plan and our staff is fully trained for each resident’s specific needs. We strongly discourage bringing valuables to a Memory Care Community due to the nature of the disease. Our house rules on personal belongings are given to the POA upon move-in: “We cannot be responsible for any items brought into the Memory Care area that are not listed on the Resident Personal Property and Valuables Form.” According to our grievance policy, any concerns need to be brought to the Executive Director and if your concerns have not been addressed here, please do so, immediately.

We picked this community because, it met my criteria.The intake person, who answers all of your questions was very experienced, and they were able to help me plan on a financial level. Other facilities, don't help with the financial piece, and this person did. I am really happy. I would recommend to other families.

This has been perfect for my loved and for what I wanted for them. The staff are great to work with. The staff communication was been excellent anytime I have questions about my loved one. Some of the care includes medication management, dressing and bathing assistance, and hygiene care for my loved one. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and there is a menu for the residents to see what is being served. There are activities for the residents to participate in.

We love Pacifica and so does my 89 yr old mother. The staff is wonderful, everyone is so warm and welcoming when family and visitors arrive. My mother’s care has been great, she was made to feel at ease from day one. The many activities are appropriate for all and the staff makes sure everyone is included. This is a great place for her to call home.

My father just moved into his new home at Pacifica, and it has already been a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing. You can tell right away that they really care about the residents. Upper management is very communicative. They have process and systems in place to allow everything to run properly and smoothly.

My mom has been at Pacifica for almost two years. The staff is very friendly and genuinely cares for her and the other residents. I regularly interact with the Executive Director, [name removed], and have had contact many times with the activities team, office staff and even the kitchen. I also love the dementia workshops that are offered each month that help me understand my mom’s condition and how this illness will progress. Thank you to an amazing team at Pacifica of Peoria!

I love this facility. Everyone is so caring of my Mom. They are attentive to her needs. When she was able to work on jigsaw puzzles they setup a table next to a window for her so she could work on them any time she wanted to. I would recommend Pacifica Senior Living Peoria for your loved one.
