I would recommend you take a look at the community to see if this community is right for your loved one. The billing team took about three months to get things straightened out for my loved one's insurance and the billing. I would have to make several phone calls to make sure this was correct for the community to receive the payment. The memory care unit doesn't have a lot of choices for meals. There are activities for the residents to participate in; however, my loved one doesn't care to participate in here. It was helpful to narrow the search for places that had independent to assisted living.

I have found ALL of the residents to be happy. That's one of the things that really attracted us to The Montecito - the fact that the people who live there are actually happy. My loved one is doing well there, and it was the right thing for us to do to put her there. The food is very nutritional and balanced, and they offer a lot of variety. While there's a set menu, you can also order pretty much anything. So if you wanted filet mignon for lunch and dinner every single day, you can get it. All you have to do is just order it. I like that they have activities all day long. And if my loved one is signed up but doesn't show up, they come and find her.

i would recommend others to check this community out; the director is very good. a majority of the staff are really caring and on top of things, and a majority of the management team are very responsive. this community is located on beautiful grounds and everyone here seems to be doing their best. my loved ones do not take part in activities, but there are quite a few being offered at The Montecito. if your loved one is interested in activities, outings, and more - i would advise you to look into this community.

This is a beautiful campus. This is a good place to be depending on the care your loved one needs. I wish they had something between assisted living and memory care for my loved one's needs. They have changed cooks a couple of times. I think sometimes there is turnover in staffing like other communities.

My wife likes to participate in the activities and is having a great time here at the community. Currently the quality of the meals and the timely service is not good but we are hoping that this will be corrected. I am in a villa and we are still very independent going in and out but the help is there if needed.

It did not turn out to be what we expected. I felt it was not very clean. She had roaches in her room and they did not handle the situation well at all. They have a new executive director that started around the same time my mom moved in. I have heard from a lot of people that the food has gone downhill. I would not recommend them to others based on our experience.

I was not really impressed with this community. It was just not what we were looking for.
We live in a casita here, and we're very happy with that. We have two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room. It's very spacious for how small it is. And we have a very large patio. Any maintenance requests have been handled really well. They have a lot of varied activities - different games, card games, and trips. We're still getting settled in, but we're excited about participating more going forward.

We chose The Montecito because they have little houses (casidas) that are on the property which is what we wanted. The sizes of the house are great, it is about 1100 sq feet with 2 bedrooms. The staff are extremely helpful, they bend over backwards for the residents. We have had a very good experience and would recommend.

We were neck and neck with The Montecito and another facility. Their independent living apartments were beautiful and huge and it was all for a good price. I also have friends in the healthcare business who have worked here and said it is a place that they would strongly recommend to others looking. We only did not choose it because it was a little further away than another one we saw.
We are very frustrated with the care these residents are receiving. The for value it is not the care you would except. Sometimes the food is okay, and they do have activities going on in the memory care unit, but there just seems to be a lack of help and proper caregivers.

This is a good place, but a little expensive. The staff take care of my loved one, and checks in on them. They do take residents to their doctor appointments.

We chose this facility because it fit more of what we were looking for for mom. The staff was willing to work with us as far as getting her here, they were very helpful and went out of their way. The staff was just absolutely wonderful and all of the residents here seemed to be genuinely happy. I would definitely recommend.

They do offer a lot of nice activities but due to COVID things were shutdown. One of the reason who chose this community was they had a two bedroom open on the first floor which made it easily accessible to our loved ones. We had two meals and the food was fine, nothing special, but our loved one said he had good meals.

I AM PRETTTY HAPPY SO FAR. MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO, AND EVERYONE HAS BEEN VERY SUPPORTIVE. I H ADN'T REALLY DONE MUCH WHILE HE WAS STILL ALIVE-- HE WAS PRETTY MUCH BED-RIDDEN AND I HATED TO LEAVE HIM. NOW I AM STARTING TO DO moRE. THEY HAVE A LOT OF ACTIVITIES TO CHOOSE FROM, AND IM SURE IT WILL BE BETTER ONCE THE VIRUS LIMITATIONS END. RIGHT NOW, WE CANNOT G0 ANYWHERE OR HAVE ANYONE COME TO SEE US.

Nothing is perfect but overall, we have found things to be very nice here. Most of the staff is kind, pleasant and helpful. There are definitely some "standout" employees that make living here really nice. Though my Mom has spent most of her time her in bed or in and out of the hospital, it feels like home to her which was a huge hurdle to overcome.

[Name removed] was good. Very grand feel to the lobby. 4x week happy hour is perfect for [name removed]. Residents everywhere-busy place. Large apartment. Large place (too large for good care?) Salon upstairs. Directive License?
