not enough staff to care for the amount of residents
I've personally witnessed only 1 or 2 caregivers at times for over 40 residents. Corporate is very greedy.

BAD experience!
We recently left my Mother-in-law in the care of Morning Point/Franklin, while we took a much needed weeklong vacation. We left her with snacks as well as her daily medicine portioned out for the nurses to give her. WHen we picked her up, more than 50% of her meds had not been taken. She had survived on the snacks since no one came to take her to meals. She was upset at her treatement and at us for leaving her at a place that took no interest in her well being. Stay away from this place!!!!!

Operational Growing Pains -
The MC facility called The Lantern at Morning Pointe opened last Summer 2018. Previously both AL and MC were in the now AL only building. The MC building is new and separated and specific to only MC residents.
Nice folks, seem to try hard, but we’re not ready staffing or training wise to open 11 months ago so first year has been and continues to be a real struggle.
MC Food is simply unacceptable and nowhere close to what the AL residents get. After a full year of trying to help them understand the deficiencies w Food, they finally have agreed and admitted and are changing their Food Dir (about 10 min overdue)
Feels as there was no Mgmt oversight for first year and they have now changed out ALL their key staff - Different Exec Dir, Different Dir Nursing (previous was good and experienced, new one inexperienced and panics too much to deal with Alz Dementia patients)
Corporate training to deal w Dementia and Alz patient incidents either insufficient or their standard requires residents to be on their effect behavior to remain or they will call ER and send your lives one out for Psych eval -
Beautiful building, but is a shell being sold on a promise that currently they are not able to deliver
Consider only if:
1) your Alz/Dementia loved one is a“perfect model citizen” with zero behavior challenges
2) you have VERY low food expectation - not even close to a Piccadilly cafeteria
3) you can deal with consistent Mgmt and staff changes
4) you feel @$6,000/mon is appropriate value for the environment described above
Again, must say these are VERY nice people, with a Very nice “building/facility” - but...they just can’t deliver or meet the needs of Alz/Dementia patients as residents unless your lived one is totally compliant and out of it, so their job is made easy by simply moving them around from point A to B
I would be very leery and steer clear until they have more time to prove they can make sorely needed operational, Food and care changes, and show better Mgmt consistency
Maybe in a year or two, but not ready for prime time care at this point...

Morning Pointe not the best choice for assisted living in Franklin
My father entered Morning Pointe of Franklin shortly after they opened and we were very happy with the care for the 1st one and a half years. Last February Morning Pointe was under lock-down for an entire month with the norovirus. The care at that time was completely inadequate for the situation and after that we had various complaints about care, hygiene and constant change in staff. In August 2018 their new memory care facility, the Lantern was opened and there seemed to be a push to move residents from assisted living to the more expensive memory care. My father was one of those, although he did not and does not have Alzheimers or a dementia diagnosis. His physical care at the Lantern was excellent (much better than Morning Pointe, but it is not caring to move a cognitively alert person to memory care, where there is little social contact or activities. He is now in another assisted living facility in Franklin where he is thriving. I would highly recommend the Lantern for those requiring memory care. I would not recommend Morning Pointe for assisted living. There are better and more caring facilities.

My Mom is Happy in the Lantern
My Mother has been at the LANTERN of Morning Pointe of Franklin since they opened. She is extremely happy to be here. She has made friends and enjoys everything they do for her. Everyday I ask her if she wants to go back home, where she lived alone. She always says NO, I want to stay here. She likes having here food prepared, served, and cleaned up. She likes having her clothes washed, and her room cleaned. She loves that someone helps her get ready in the morning, and ensures she gets all the help she need for bedtime. The staff is fantastic. They show so much love to everyone. There is one officer that hugs everyone she sees, even in the halls. The staff is "ON" their whole work day. They understand what is needed, and they perform it. When decisions have to be made, the appropriate people get involved, and decisions are made for the BEST of the individual, and the BEST for the safety of others. I am very happy to have Mother here. And, she is doing so well, I think she might outlive me!

Beautiful facility. Very personable community director, [Removed]. Love the fact that this is a single level building and completely non smoking campus. Lots of opportunities for interaction for residents.

Review of Morning Pointe of Franklin (TN) - Franklin, TN
This facility is the most well thought-out Ive seen with respect to dementia memory care. The staff were clearly devoted passionate about their posts focused on individual care plans and maintaining respect dignity to the residents. Its brand new as of 2016 there was clearly no expense spared in the planning construction. The only downside is that the superior quality does come with a hefty price tag. However as with everything else - you get what you pay for. the only reason Im not going with this one is that they wont let my dad smoke (no ecigs or regular cigarettes) even outside
