A great choice

We chose Monmouth Crossing Assisted Living because my mom is in assisted living and they also have nursing care in a different building across the street. Since they offer all levels of care, we could keep her within the same company if she ever needs more care. The room sizes here are adequate for her needs, bigger than some other places we saw. The food looked a lot better before covid, but I think with covid going on they have had to do things differently. The best part about the community has been the smaller group setting, so better 1 on 1 care. I would recommend.

Refresh, Relax and Respite

For the past several months my Sister and I have been caring for our Dad. We had a vacation planned last month and honestly, we had thought that we would have to cancel. A friend of mine told me to check out Monmouth Crossing for respite care. From the moment my Dad and I stepped into the building we felt at home. While the facility is beautiful and the food is great, it truly was the people and the care that they provided that surpassed our greatest expectations. From the Administrator, [name removed] to the attentive aides who cared for him each day, it is evident that they have a heart to serve. This set our minds completely at ease as we were able to have time away to refresh and relax. Thank you, Monmouth Crossing!

Stay away

There has been a change with senior management which makes this a less thsn desire able place to live out your life. The food has gone down hill, no activities on the weekends, short on staff, uncaring management. My mother in law was asked not to return after a hospital stay because her diapers required more frequent changes and she was no longer able to manage. You people should be ashamed. Find another place fir your loved ones to live

Hello Mr. Waserstein, We at Monmouth Crossing are so very sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. We have not had a recent change in management, which leads us to believe you may have inadvertently confused us with another facility that has a similar name. We work very hard to make sure that our residents are treated with the utmost respect and care. Please contact our Administrator, Heleyne Gladstein, at [removed] at your earliest convenience so that we may get more details from you. Thank you. Heleyne Gladstein Monmouth Crossing

Name change but horrible administration

My mom has lived her for 2 years They changed the name but sadly it is still be run by the worst management ever Do they think changing the name will cure the issues Take it from family it’s not the name that needs to be changed it is the Executive Director as well as the nursing managers I thought people in this field were in it because they care but not this team Now activity people and aides are great but the administration poor they always have an excuse He never returns calls He lives his office he is always in it.

Very Happy here

It is a very nice community. Very clean, no smells in the halls. The staff is very attentive and very concerned for my father. The dining room is elegantly decorated and dad love the food he eats 3x a day and is gaining weight. They order from a menu so it has lots of variety. The location is great the hospital is across the street. They try to engage him to join the daily activities which isn't his thing but he will go down and watch them. They will make his bed daily and they shower him 2x a week. They do his linens and he can pay extra for personal laundry. I would recommend this community.

Anonymous - Toured community

Pros: Affiliated with CentraState Medical Center; Clean; Small Facility Cons: Contact person left or the day; Another hospitality supervisor was too busy to meet with us; Need to revisit or call back contact person to discuss pricing, therapy options and specific needs for Mom.

I'm sorry that I missed you on Friday as I was off. Unfortunately, at the time of your arrival it was very busy and my administrator was already touring another customer. She had asked another manager to tour you so that you did not have to wait any longer. The manager who toured you was not completely familiar with the information that you were asking questions about. Instead of giving you the wrong information she felt it was best to have me contact you on Monday and I did. I left you a voice message. If you have more questions I'd be more than happy to answer them for you at your convenience.

good in ways, can improve in others

I have not felt that the staff has been very empathetic with my father. They have their rules and regulations and do not seem to bend. That is the main issue that I have had with Monmouth Crossing Assisted Living. The food is very good, and the grounds are very pretty.

Very Happy with the Director and staff honest place

I've been looking for an assisted living for my Mom and there are so many to choose from in the Freehold area. I liked Monmouth Crossing because the Director did not pull any punches she is there a long time when others come and go. I am very happy with the accommodations and service my mom is getting. If you are worried about a few dollars here and there don't let this be the deciding factor choose Monmouth Crossings you will be very happy.
