Daylesford Crossing review
Never ate there, but she didn't complain .Not sure how to evaluate the value for cost. It's on the expensive side compared to where she is now. My issue with them was that she started out on the first floor. She was found wandering around on the street outside and then they moved her to the basement memory care unit. It was depressing and smelled like urine there.

Our Experience

This facility is good overall. Like with most health care places, there seems to be a lot of turnover with the aides. But I don't find that unusual. They do have a good variety of activities. They just did a 'Wizard of Oz' celebration for Halloween. I observed the staff really trying to engage the residents. They seem to be a very caring community here and know the residents by name. You can see that the staff really tries hard here. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Dad is Thriving
Our Dad is happier, more active and mobile than we’ve seen him in more than a year. The medical staff members have been wonderful to work with, and the staff in general work hard to keep the residents active. I have found them to be very responsive to my questions.

A Very Nice Place to Live
For the most part, the staff are friendly. Some of them might lack patience in dealing with the elderly. But for the most part they're friendly. They do respond to my phone calls. The one major complaint we have is that in the morning and at night, my loved one cannot get dressed / undressed on her own, and when she presses her call button, there can be a delay of about 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes they're understaffed and just don't have enough people to help. But they have good activities. And the food is fresh and tastes good.

I did not like this community. It was so sterile and unfriendly. It was so clean that it looked like no one lived there. We had a great tour and a lovely tour guide that was amazing.

The staff does an excellent job. They are kind, caring, and really seem to care about the residence. They get to know the resident and personalize their care. The community is very clean, neat, and they have safe activities going on to engage the residence. I would highly recommend this community to others.

Great experience
I just received a virtual tour on Facebook from Daylesford Crossing. Seeing the community again brought back such nice memories. My dad lived there for just over 18 months before he passed. I always intended to write a review to them, but never seemed to have the time. Now that I am quarantined at home, I seem to have nothing but time. Daylesford was like a life saver for us. My dad was not easy. He had dementia. He lived at another facility prior to Daylesford who asked us to leave because they couldnt manage him. Daylesford was great right from the start. They took the time to learn about dad and helped him through the adjustment period of getting used to a new place. The staff was extremely patient with him and seemed to not be bothered by things that the other facility struggled with. They got him involved with a group of men that he really liked. He took part in activities there that I never thought he would. I have peace knowing that my dad died happy. he enjoyed his life at Daylesford. He did not enjoy the other place at all. I thought it was just his condition that made him unhappy. Once we moved him, I saw that it was possible for him to be happy again. I give Daylesford all the credit for that. Its amazing to me how different the facilities were for right around the same cost.

Such a great place for my mother
My mother who passed away a few months ago, lived at Daylesford Crossing for three years. It was such a positive experience for her and for our whole family/.
We are so grateful for all the friendships she made there with the other residents and with the people who work there. caregivers, waitresses and housekeepers, managers, every one was so wonderful to her.
Before she moved in, she was spending most of her time at home in front of the television and she wasn't staying in touch with friends (many of them have died). Within a few weeks, she made new friends and they became very close.
Towards the end of her life, she needed more care and they were very attentive.
I'd recommend Daylesford Crossing to anyone. I miss visiting.

The ABSOLUTE worst
If you are reading this ...RUN from Daylesford Crossing! This facility is the absolute worst. There is a saying, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig." That is this place ....it looks nice on the outside but the management should be ashamed and to be honest not sure how they still operate with all of the violations and non-compliant activity that goes on every day. We had a loved one there briefly...thank god. They lied, staff and aides are not trained, they gave our loved one the wrong medication and we had complications. Good thing that was all... we got out ASAP. They have people call out all of the time and they do not fill the shift, the residents suffer. Mismanaged, cheap, not compliant, residents suffer. Someone is making a lot of money for terrible care and service. Hopefully word continues to get out because this is not right.

Don’t Come Here
Don’t believe what you see in the pictures and fancy descriptive language about Daylesford Crossing. My friends’ elderly parent was left on their own for two nights in [date removed]. Staff delivered the dinner, which was still covered the next day. The resident slept in their clothes & had urine/ feces throughout the apartment the following morning. Can you IMAGINE? We have documentation as well as pictures. A letter was written to the owners and upper management without any response. We asked to find out who was on duty; they said, “We will look into it and get back to you.” No response back. This is not the first incident. Just one of many. They are paying more than [removed] a month for this kind of care, or more accurately lack of care. This resident requires a high level of treatment, pays high additional fees for this care and on a regular basis does not receive it. We consider this abusive behavior by any standards....again~do not be fooled by the chatty tour, falsehoods about care and friendly promises made by management.

We are truly sorry that the experience you cited in your review did not meet the resident’s expectations, despite our commitment to meeting the high standards we’ve set for our community’s residents and staff.
We will never violate a resident’s privacy by discussing his or her specific care plan. However, our guiding principle is to understand and respect the priorities and preferences of a resident and their family in creating a care plan. Sometimes, a resident’s needs cannot be met in the manner in which they or their family prefers. In those instances, we employ family meetings, interventions, and assessments to revise the plan to a higher level of care. Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we are unable to adequately and consistently meet a resident’s needs. In those cases, in consultation with the resident and their family, we propose solutions such as private nursing assistance or a transfer to a skilled nursing home. Always, our highest priority is each resident’s wellbeing.

Great Option for Senior Care
We moved my mom to Daylesford from another local Senior Care facility. Daylesford has vitality, a fresh and beautiful facility and caring staff. The activities director - [Removed] - is incredible. She proactively reaches out to the residents to ensure that they are participating and feel included. Daylesford isn't cheap but it is a good value.

Daylesford's Dementia Ward is located in a basement. A highway passes in front of the facility. Management favors a "one size fits all" approach, without exception for individual circumstances.

Our Connections Memory Care apartments are on ground level and access a secure sculpture garden. Every apartment has large windows; facing the garden on the north side or a patio on the south side.
Connections small size, just 19 apartments, enables individualized care and support.

A great place to call home.
I like the care that my grandfather was getting here.We were happy that he liked the meals and they offer him a great variety to choose from. They offered him activities that were enjoyed. We liked to know he was active in the community with the other residents. We would recommend this community for families look for good care and good value.
