Brookdale Port Orange

Mom enjoyed the cocktails and dinner. Ham, roll, sweet potatoes, asparagus, strawberry shortcake. Staff was delightful. We did some interaction with other residents and the staff. Chef [name removed], [name removed], and executive director, [name removed].

Brookdale, Port Orange makes everyone feel like family! They go above and beyond to care for the residence ,staff ,and visitors alike! All of the residents are treated with respect and love, no matter the severity of ailment or diagnosis . From rolling out the red carpet to new residents , to celebrating birthdays with long standing residents , the caring and kindness is palpable !

I've been here longer than any other resident (8 years) and just very happy with here. I enjoy that I have the time to meet people that have lived in this area just as long as I have. My family were pioneers in this area and I have lived and worked in Daytona Beach nearly all my life

Brookdale is home for me. The staff is family and loves me. They care- good group of staff.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brookdale Port Orange. From the very first call, to taking a tour, to moving in….the staff at Brookdale were true professionals. We first met with [name removed], Director of Sales and Marketing. She has such an ease about her that we immediately felt that this was a perfect fit for my father. She answered all of our questions and my father was “home” within days. With having only around 40 residents total., I t’s the perfect setting that won’t overwhelm my dad, especially during a life adjustment. [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] were extremely welcoming and helped introduce us to the team. They are top notch ladies with a passion for people! Chef [name removed] at Brookdale is amazing! He really gets to know your likes and dislikes and always has the menu posted a day in advance. My dad has thoroughly enjoyed all of his meals! I love being able to have lunch or dinner with him to catch up. So what I’m saying is, we are SO happy to have found Brookdale!

We think it was very expensive. Initially the price was good but it seemed to increase with every corner we turned.

Every time I enter the community I am welcomed by a friendly staff member! Residents are always happy & clean. I always see Residents in the common areas putting puzzles together or playing games & singing! The managers have been there a long time & they love their Residents! You can see it & feel it! They are always available & they do events to give back to the community! Highly recommend… 5 Stars!

I have been able to be invited to the community as a experience care provider to see the ends and out and lm happy to say the residents seems happy and adjusting to a new living. They have a awesome work team and I really like the activities and how they bring different theme's each month.

When looking for a place for Mom, the moment we entered Brookdale Assisted Living, Port Orange, Florida we felt at home, cheerful decorations throughout the building. We felt comfortable and relaxed, not like an outsider but at home. The entire Staff is wonderful, apartments are a perfect size bright rooms with individual bathrooms. Great meals in the large dining room, screened in porch overlooking the garden, the facility is clean, each apartment is clean. Lots of activities: B-Fit program, Bingo, DYI crafts, puzzle group, Red Hat Club, bus rides, movie night, live entertainment, a hair salon, Birthday celebrations, special lunches and so much more. The entire staff shows love, kindness, compassion and truly cares for all the residents. It shows as each resident smiles back to the staff. This staff not only cares for the residents but also the families. The Brookdale Staff is family to us all. Mom is home at Brookdale, where she can age in place.

On behalf of [name removed] and myself I want to applaud the director and staff of Brookdale Port Orange for the excellent care she has receive while a resident. [name removed] has been a resident since [date removed]. She and I appreciate all that has done on her behalf.

My mother passed away at 100 years old after spending almost her last eight years at the Brookdale Port Orange Adult Home. At such an age it’s difficult to enhance anyone’s quality of life the way the staff did for her. Healthcare services and other Provider coordinations were exceptional but beyond that she was afforded opportunities to participate in events to make the day enjoyable. And equally impressive was the continuous effort to communicate with her family and offer them every opportunity available to visit and participate in her activities. The staffs loving care, personal attention and support of her family make this facility one that should be highly recommended to all.

The staff is amazing. they are always helpful and appreciative. The food is amazing as well. It is always fresh and nutritious. I cant say enough about the special way this facility treats their residence and their families. Love them to pieces.

The best decision I made. Mom was depressed and lonely at home and needed extra care. Brookdale stepped right up! They are not staff, they are family ??. Anytime I show up, everyone is so kind, the residents are cared for and the center /home is immaculate. Mom is busy all day with all the different activities and sometimes doesn’t have time to talk to me! LOL. If you are thinking of assisted living for a loved one, just visit and sign on with Brookdale Port Orange!!

This place is supherb. Prior to covid-19 I was going to visit my father every few days. The place is the cleanest around, no lingering oders. We looked at 4 places and this was the only facility on 1 floor. So dad could get to the dining room without an elevator. It was also the best equipped handicap bathrooms with walk-in showers. At 91, dad still showered daily. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Brookdale Port Orange is a wonderful place, very clean and so welcoming to residents and their families. The food is very good, I have dined there with my mom and they offer a wide variety of choices. The part that really impressed me was the chef took extra care with my mom and tailoring her food so that she could eat without any issues, he actually helped to feed her himself! There are plenty of activities that she enjoys, gym, a yoga movement class, and of course Bingo. There is a great room where the residents gather for entertainment and activities where my mom is making new friends all the time. This community is very secure where she cannot leave, but the great thing is she does not want to leave! We've have decorated her room and it is very lovely and homey. I would definitely recommend Brookdale to friends and family.
