Thank you for making me feel comfortable
I recently moved my family member into Brookdale. It was quite an ordeal to get them to agree to move even though it was definitely needed for their safety. the employees were all so helpful from start to finish during the move in process. They have settled in well and began to make friends and I never thought that would happen. It gives me such peace of mind. the employees have treated me and my family member so kind and really showed they care that they were meeting all of our needs and knew this was really hard on us. I did visit with other places and I felt like they were not as warm. Other places just didn't have the same feeling I got when I went to Brookdale. It felt more like a home vs. a hotel or institution. It was one of the cleanest places we saw.

Best Assisted Living I've visited
I recently had the opportunity to visit Brookdale Medford, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped through the doors, it was evident that cleanliness and resident well-being were top priorities! The community was immaculately clean, creating a welcoming and comforting atmosphere.
What stood out the most, however, was the level of care and engagement provided the residents. The staff members were not only attentive to the resident's physical needs but also went above and beyond to ensure their emotional and cognitive well-being. It was heartwarming to see the genuine connections between the staff and residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Overall, my experience at Brookdale Medford, left me with a profound sense of admiration and respect for the dedication and compassion of the staff, as well as the high standards of care provided to the residents. I would highly recommend this community.

They treat their residents with care and compassion. When I retire that would definitely be an option for me to consider. Out of the communities I have visited I feel this is the best. Good food fun activities love it.

Review for Brookdale Medford
I looked at 3 places and called maybe 2 others that didn't call back. Out if the 3 I visited I liked the size of Brookdale (not too big not too small) and also the room configuration. I think maybe I thought the food was better there also.

Our family's experience was such that we would not recommend that anyone place a loved one there at Brookdale Medford.
The friendliness of the staff varied from a 0 rating to a 5. Management was a 0 especially when we raised concern's about their quality of care. The meals received a 2 overall rating because the management was having to do the cooking due to the staffing shortages. All in all a VERY bad living/care experience for our loved one. It made as happy when Hospice moved our loved one out to a group home.

Wonderful community!
My father in law has lived at Brookdale Medford for 3 years. I could not say enough good things about the people that work there. I know they often stay late hours and come in on time off to make sure my family member has impeccable care. They have all been there multiple years and their team work shows it. Thank you all for what you have done. Don't let one bad review from a bad apple visitor change your mind. Also, the food is really good!!

A quality place to live
Brookdale is a great place for seniors to live. My family looked at several places before deciding that Brookdale was the best option for my dad. We knew he would like the spacious rooms and the great view of the Rogue Valley. Also there’s a nice dining room area for everyone to get together and socialize. Most importantly though, is how friendly caring and understanding the staff is. They’re always nice to me and my family. this review is in response to the next review. Brookdale and their staff do not deserve the harsh review from my dad‘s friend [name removed]. It’s an overreaction to the restrictions that were placed on her.

Wouldn’t place my dog here
This facility has the worst administrative staff I have yet to meet. They are rude, passive aggressive, and totally unprofessional. As a guest of one of their residents I was insulted, and spoken to as if I were a criminal and not a guest. They lied to my friend telling him DHS had placed stipulations on who he could leave with only to call DHS and be told they had lied to my friend and myself. He wishes his family had not ever manipulated him into to moving there. This is a sad unprofessional and dreary place mostly because their administrative staff are women who are petty, jealous, and bald faced liars. Please think twice before believing anything they tell you. Grievance forms should be availed to all residents, not at this place, they thumb there noses at Oregon Administrative Rules.

Toured this building fantastic building and staff. Building was clean and well cared for. They were great in the tour. We are about a year out on moving mom into a facility. We have definitely found her home.

"Outstanding Care"
The care is excellent! Mom has been at another facility in this area, and I have something to compare to. The staff are friendly, caring, kind, gentle, on top of everything. When you walk in you get the at home feeling. The rooms are beautiful, always being cleaned. For mom's care plan, I couldn't complain about anything, they are on top of her medications, showering, getting her down to her meals. I love the call button on hand if she needs anything, staff arrives in a timely manner. I recently met the Kitchen manager, he stated " If the food isn't good, it will not come out of my kitchen", that is important to mom. I can bring our dog in to visit. The staff is on top of Dr appointments with paperwork ready to go. The hair salon is a must and well managed. The activities are perfectly geared for the appropriate age group. The grounds are kept up nicely. I am so impressed and have a relief that my mother is being well taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend Brookdale Medford. Truthfully!

Would absolutely not recommend
I would not send my worst enemy here. They completely oversold themselves, they kept racking up the bills, and kept no promises made. My step dad was in hospice dying and would leave him on the toilet over an hour. If they complained they would blame my step dad. In the first 4 days they were here, there were times they would forget to bring them their meals They set his hospital bed on his oxygen tube and he was without oxygen for 3 hours until my mom noticed it. It was absolutely horrible and we got out of here as quick as we could have. It did not provide any peace of mind for our family at all.

Our Experience at Brookdale Medford
They do very well with the care. We have been very impressed with the staff and their professionalism. Everybody there has a good attitude. They're very smiley and acceptable to people. That was one of the big things that we've liked here and have told other people about the community. As far as the food, there are things she likes and things she doesn't like. It just depends on the day. The activities seem to be adequate, and she enjoys them when she does participate. We just can't wait until all the lockdowns end and she can interact with more people.

The perfect assisted living facility for your loved ones.
Where to begin. The moment I walked through the front door I knew immediately that I wanted my Mom to reside here.
[Name removed] greeted me with such a genuine welcome. From there the friendliness continued.
Next I met with [Name removed] in sales and marketing, who listened to what I wanted and needed for my Mom. I had limited time to find an acceptable facility. [Name removed] worked miracles to get everything accomplished.
[Name removed] the chef who prepares healthy, tasty meals. Also, Brookdale facilities have developed their own seasoning to cut down on the sodium intake.
[Name removed] in maintenance had to work overtime to make my mom's apartment ready for move in. He got new carpet, floor covering, paint and new blinds in record time. I was able to move in and ready everything for my mom's arrival.
[Name removed] the Care Coordinator has the most contagious warmth and caring nature. [Name removed] started as a caregiver and worked her way up. She is amazing.
Then the icing on the cake is [Name removed] the manager. Mom ended up in the hospital for a week before her arrival. [Name removed] made everything perfect.
I would highly recommend Brookdale facilities for all who want quality care for their loved ones.

Brookdale was great while my mother was there. Most of the staff is extremely helpful. They do seem short staffed, but most are friendly and accommodating. The director, [Removed] was incredibly helpful to us. The food is good, but a little too salty though. However, they are willing to accommodate different dietary needs. The place is very clean, and they just finished a renovation. They’ve moved in new furniture, put in new carpet and had some painting done. They’ve really spruced it up. I think that as far as a weak point goes, the activities are it. There is some live entertainment, some sing-alongs and things like that, but they seem a little sparse overall, and not very stimulating. Overall though, I would definitely recommend Brookdale to others.

Forever grateful to Brookdale
My Dad lived at Brookdale for 2 1/2 years. Everything was too notch. He was diagnosed with end stage dementia a few weeks ago. The hospital told me to move him to skilled nursing with hospice care. I got a call from [Removed] at Brookdale and She told me they loved my dad and wanted him to come home to do his end of life care with Hospice. I was so relieved. [Removed] and staff would hold his hand and comfort him for hours. He died last Saturday with dignity thanks to Brookdale. My and my family are so very grateful.
