We chose Brookdale Lake Ridge because of the location and the convenience for us. The room sizes here are fine and adequate for what he needs. They were good about still having activities for residents to participate in during covid. I would reocmmend
Have a great on-line walking tour. Facility is new and organized into two communities. Staff is friendly and approachable. Residents appeared happy and healthy.
If your loved one is going into hospice I would not go there. I was told that the staff would check in every 2 hours with us and that did not happen.
Before COVID they had games nights, and weekly shopping trips. They also would bring in live entertainment and have church services on Sunday. Our loved one was only there for about a month in a half, they were just not well equipped to handle him.
Our first impression of this community was we liked how quiet it was, the staff was nice and it had a homey feeling to it. The rooms were about average in size, the food was not bad. Overall it was okay.
The woman from the sales team was very wonderful and very helpful. The director of nursing I am not super impressed with. We do seem to have to stay on top of them to ensure my mother is receiving proper care. Their communication with us about my mother's care is very lacking. We don't get any communication from a corporate level regarding Covid-19 cases at their specific community, we really do no know what is going on in the community. I think this community would be much better for more active seniors, and not so much for those who need a higher level of care. They haven't done much to keep my mother engaged or involved during the community lock down. We do not think this community is a good value for the price, especially considering the lack of care and communication.
We were very impressed. It is an older facility but well maintained and remodeled. Lots of activities for the residents and you could see them milling about and interacting. The staff was also very courteous and initiated engaging us in conversation. If you're looking for a permanent home for yourself, mom or dad, Brookdale Lake Ridge is a must see!
A very nice community with very pleasant staff. I found some things lacking that I thought my mother would like to have. Pricing here was a little out of our price range as well.
My husband and I toured the Brookdale Lake Ridge on [date removed]. The facility was clean and the residents and staff very friendly. All questions and concerns addressed. We have decided to go with another facility in Woodbridge. Sent [name removed] an email to let them know of our decision.
Appeared to be extremely well run facility. Very clean and well maintained through out. [Name removed] was very informative and helpful in the sit down and touring of the facility. Residents all seemed happy and well cared for. [Name removed] unfortunately could not share any costs beyond the base cost which are proprietary. Would have been informative and helpful to know all costs to consider in long term decision making. Overall very positive experience.
Stafff was friendly and caring. The facility was inviting and well kept. [Name removed] did an excellent job with the tour.
Friendly and very helpful in explaining and showing me what would be available and a good match for my mother in law.
Clean, residents were participating in an activity when I arrived. I felt like I was brushed off once I stated that we were looking for respite care. I asked for a tour and was handed off to the activities director, who was very pleasant. It is price prohibitive.
The staff is extremely individually attentive. They got to know my mom and how to deal with her in a way she responds to. It is a nice and clean. The food is Ok it's not gourmet but it does the job and if mom won't eat they make sure she has an ensure. They will engage her to join the daily activities. This is a good place if you are needing a higher level of care. I would recommend this community for someone who needs memory care or borderline.
I really like Brookdale Lake Ridge. It is close to my home, closer to my price range, and very nice. I will definably consider it when the time comes.
I have been doing fine in my new community. I have not got involved in the activities they offer but I played bingo from time to time. I have very good lunches and the majority of the time it is good food. The staff are helpful and good people.
Since moving here I've had time to meet lots of nice people. Mostly other residents. The management is bright and cheerful. My medical people are very knowledgeable, and my dietitian is cooperating with my strange heart, diabetic ,renal diets.
My husband likes it here very much and the match is good for him. The staff are friendly and stay on top of things. I think he likes the food and has not complained, I think it is decent. I have not detected any smells and it is clean and the housekeeping do a good job. I would recommend this community to others.
We are very pleased with all the help we were given by the staff of Brookdale Lake Ridge. They guided us through the process starting with recommending the type of care my Dad needed to getting my Dad settled in. They are very responsive to any inquiries by email or phone. Very clean facility and friendly staff. Dad is always well groomed and taken care of.
The property is currently undergoing renovations. The appearance will be greatly improved when the renovations are completed.
