August 9, 2022Marge, thank you for your very kind review! It is an honor to have your loved one here at Ledgestone Senior Living.
The staff members have been super helpful and pleasant from the front end - they were not pushy at all and just calmly showed up everything they have to offer. We really like the cottages the residents have and based on the experience we have had so far we would absolutely recommend them to other families.

May 27, 2022Chas, thank you for taking the time to provide us with such positive feedback. We appreciate your kind words about our community and our staff. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you.
We chose Ledgestone primarily because of the convenience of the location from our home as well as the staff were extremely friendly. The security at the facility is great, they have check sand balances for everything. They do have program and if your loved one does any activities you get a text showing what they did. Our loved one got covid along with some other residents and it was a hectic process to have to move her and we sometimes had trouble getting answers on things. Overall it has been a positive experience and I would recommend them to others.

We tried several assisted care facilities in the AUSTIN area before a friend of my Sisters recommended this Ledgestone property. We can finally sleep at night knowing our Mother is truly being cared for properly. The staff is professional and courteous and the property is beautiful. Our Mother is happy and comfortable and we are at peace knowing that she is finishing a fine life in the care of these fine and caring people.

Our parents lived in a big house out in the country, and had been using home caregivers for 12-hour daytime care. Their declining health and their isolation, prompted us to seek out a different, better care situation for them, where they could continue to be together. We visited 5 assisted living communities that also had memory care units, and Ledgestone Assisted Living Community definitely surpassed them all!!! We were wowed when we first walked in the door by their beautiful open dining room, common living areas, and fully stocked bistro. We were further impressed when touring their spacious one bedroom apartments (perfect for our parents), their activity room and hair salon. We loved the calendar full of fun, varied activities, and learning about the availability of an in-house nurse practitioner and lab. We brought our mom to lunch and a tour. Although she said it was all very nice, she and our dad did NOT want to leave their home. However, with the amazing assistance of [name removed], the Community Relationships Director, in a week’s time we had our parents moved in with their own familiar furniture surrounding them. After just two days of the delicious meals, and the lovely, conscientious caregivers and med techs, both our parents told us they loved their apartment and would be just fine there. My sister and I left that evening with happy tears and a huge sense of relief, knowing our parents were happy and well cared for. We are so grateful to the genuinely caring, competent staff at Ledgestone for helping them create a new home and a loving extended family.

November 7, 2019Thank you for the awesome review! We are so glad that you love Ledgestone!
Very clean; staff really friendly and helpful/ the courtyards were lovely. Lunch was fair, but the chocolate chip cookies were great. The residents we met were very happy and comfortable--several had been there since the first day it opened. One man was very disgruntled and unhappy--he had nothing good to say, but I think he'd have been just as unhappy if he lived in the Taj Mahal!

September 13, 2019We would like to thank you for coming by. It is an honor to care for all of our residents as each one of them is a precious gift and we can't wait for your mom to move in. Thank you for your great review! You are a jewel!
I would highly recommend not putting a loved one in this place, or any facility owned by Civitas Senior Living. I put my parents, both with Alzheimer's disease in respite care here for 3 weeks while my nuclear family took a much needed break from caregiving. The care was awful! My mom was filthy upon pick up, as was their room. I spoke with the staff there and no one appeared to know what was going on. I'm sorry is basically what I got. I contacted the company that owns them to complain and after several conversations I still did not get answers. Lots of cover up, lies (ex - my mom hasn't dressed herself or done any self care in years, but apparently a miracle happened there and she was totally independent). Meds were totally messed up for both of my parents. I asked what was being done to fix the obvious problems with staff, care and communication. The Executive VP of Operations told me all they can do is make sure these things don't happen again, and that the employee responsible for dropping a major ball on their care plan had been crying during their meeting that morning. As if I care! Sorry but am I suppose to care that she's upset because she messed up my parent's care plan?! Total incompetence. I assured him there were many more tears cried at my house over this. Just for the record, the first VP I talked with did not answer one of my questions. She just wasted my time explaining to me things I was already fully aware of. I could barely get a word in! Stay away from this place!!!!!!

my Mom’s experience at Ledgestone has been very positive! She lives in a 2 bed apartment with a dog yard. The convenience of a yard is so worth the small extra fee. She enjoys sitting out with her dog. Ledgestone ,as a whole, treats “Dumpling “ as a family member. I don’t know all the staff, but [names removed] are always helpful and friendly to Mom and her family, too. This is an independent living property, but they offer many amenities that you would find in assisted living.

Due to a steady change of "chefs" and/or budget for food the quality of the food and the service has gone from excellent to mediocre. The number of wait staff has been decreased. If you need something repaired or installed, like grab bars, etc. there is only one maintenance man for the entire complex, so you may have to wait days if not weeks for your turn to come around. Otherwise, the residents are very friendly, the place is clean and the staff courteous and willing to help with many problems. One of the major problems is you can only get Time Warner/Spectrum TV, which is the lowest rated in Customer Service. It seems like something is always going wrong.

November 18, 2018We are passionate about being a part of the solution. Because your experience was less than excellent, we hope to discuss this with you directly. Please email us at [removed] to connect you with an executive leadership member.
An excellent facility with the easiest pathway to assisted living that I have seen. All the necessary services and amenities are available including optional medical and dental services. The atmosphere seemed comfortably casual and flexible. The staff we met seemed competent, helpful and friendly. Apartment sizes are adequate but will require significant down sizing of our current household furniture and other possessions. This facility is the most affordable one we have visited and appears to be a real value.

It's new and clean. Assisted Living building staff are nice and work hard but there's a shortage of trained staff and a high turn over rate. Food is mediocre to fair. Their nurse left or was let go after 2 months of bad performance and covering up mistakes. Services we paid for were not rendered. I had to remind the manager, nurse and caregivers of weekly/daily services and I had to coordinate them. I had to take out trash, bathe my loved one and change the sheets myself on several occasions. Activities are entertaining but very basic and minimal. There's no weight-bearing exercise to maintain muscle mass or led walks for cardiovascular health, only sitting in chairs and lifting their arms and legs. It's very [Removed] oriented, which may be nice for some people but makes other people feel uncomfortable because they're not supposed to impose religious practices. This is not disclosed in brochures either.

Ledgestone opened in January 2017 and is gorgeous. However, it needs new management that supports its residents and our needs. For whatever reason, they are unable to keep valued employees on staff. It may be due to the malicious character of the local manager herself. When asked to provide nutritious drink choices for those of us with diabetes, she tells us to drink water. Daily meals and food at community gatherings are treated the same way. When it comes to low-carb and sugar-free options, there are little to none. Vending machines with healthy options are needed. Even though meals are provided, I am having to spend much extra money to buy healthy options. Also, residents should be asked to tread lightly if they live above others, particularly during normal sleep hours. Doors and gates to the outside of the building need cushioned weather stripping so they don't wake everyone when they slam at all hours. Instead of improving the community and service to residents, management plans to build a new kitchen outside of our building, which will not solve problems with food and will undoubtedly create numerous problems during the expected 8 months of construction. It will also be a huge waste of thousands of dollars. We have enough waste on the property already. A thoughtless new rule was recently enacted which got rid of trash receptacles that residents used regularly. For at least two weeks, recycling has not been emptied, so there is nowhere to empty the recycling from our apartments. Regular trash must be set out 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, even if it means setting an alarm to do so. If I had known all of this ahead of time, I would not have moved in!
