Redefine your independence and do more every day.If you’re living a mostly independent lifestyle, but you could use an extra hand with some of your day-to-day activities, our assisted living and memory care community could be right for you. So go ahead and take a dancing class or join your friends for a tea party. We’ll take care of the rest so you can focus on fun ways to spend your day.
You’ll have the care you need if you need it so you can focus on the fun. You could start your morning with coffee on the patio before joining a word game challenge. Here are a few more of the fun activities you could be enjoying with your new friends at our community:
For memory care residents, we offer a program, also known as Clare Bridge, rooted in “a person-centered approach,” which means we help our residents find a sense of belonging and purpose while also helping them preserve who they are. The Daily Path is an evidence-based approach that offers a gentle daily structure of six planned programs per day, which maintain our residents' abilities and encourage the use of their current skills.
When it comes apartments, you’ll have choices, too. Check out these features:
•Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans
•Companion suite option
•Plenty of natural window light
•Garden views available for select floor plans
•Freedom to personalize your space
•Basic utilities, maintenance and transportation are included
When you want to get out and do a little shopping, our campus is in the heart of northern New Jersey, right next door to an organic farm on Old Hook Road. You’ll have easy access to local markets and stores, and we’re less than a half hour from New York City.
Our memory care community features areas of the community that are set up for safe engagement in gardening, kitchen work, handyman help, and other household and normal daily tasks. Life skills activities provide a sense of purpose, meaning and belonging as residents complete tasks related to everyday life.
Along with our programming, you’ll find comfort knowing that our trained staff is on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Assisted living provides assistance in medications, dressing and bathing, as well as services like housekeeping and meals. Your wellness is supported by collaborative care partnerships between your family, our care associates and other healthcare providers.
And if you need memory care in the future, you’ll have person-centered Alzheimer's and dementia care within the same community campus. With gentle guidance and visual reminders, our memory care communities provide a secure, safe space with a daily path of engagement that meets our resident's skill levels.

Reviews of Brookdale Emerson
- Inadequate, just being polite
Recent off hours visits in evening and weekend I noticed language barrier caregivers understaffed often and appear overworked (most residents dependant, considering it's listed as an Assisted Living)...
- My visit
This looked like a nice community when I visited. The people I met were nice. I like this community. This community unfortunately did not offer the level of care that dad needed.
- A good tour
This was a nice community when I visited it. The staff I met were nice and they did offer some daily activities. This community was large and mom did not seem to think it would work for her.
