Our family had an in person tour experience with Anthology of Clayton View and it was such a positive experience, the staff were friendly and answered all of our questions and were all very nice.
We really like that the Anthology of Clayton View community is smaller and based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones. We actually also have recommend the Chesterfield location.

My loved one is currently a resident at Anthology of Clayton View. The location of the facility is great. However, there's too much turnover and not enough staff. I will be moving my loved one to a different facility in a couple of months.

The administration here are not capable. They don't address issues of residents. The food is inedible. They can't find anyone who can cook and run the kitchen. When confronted, they say the issue has been addressed. New chefs are here for a day then gone. I don't think they've eaten the food and if they have and they like it, so much for taste buds. They don't communicate among each other or with the staff. Basically, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. The staff is overworked, under payed and under staffed. Housekeeping is atrocious. Sometimes it's an hour or longer to receive care. Equipment doesn't always work and there's no suitable back up. If someone would ask me about this place, I'd tell them to run.

Like most places these days, they are sometimes understaffed and have a noticeable turn over rate. Probably better pay would be beneficial to make employees stay longer. Although most of the employees there do seem to be in a good mood most of the time.

We chose Anthology of Clayton View due to the location and the price. Everyone is sincerely caring and concerned about my loved one. She has said she always feels safe and cared for. Just what a family wants to hear!!! I would recommend Anthology to other families looking.

The overall experience is really good. The staff is very friendly and treat my mom very well. They are also very approachable when there are issues and work to solve them. Lots of activities. I love the facility. It is so clean and fresh looking. I would have given them a 5/5, but corporate fired the previous chef. My mom and several other residents loved that chef. They tell me the food now is really bad and the chef pushes them to eat early and finish fast so he can leave. Anthology also is understaffed at times, but I figure that is happening everywhere. So, for me, it is acceptable. But someone who expects them to show up within 10 minutes at every call should try to find that elsewhere. Overall, I really like Anthology.

Response from Anthology of Clayton View
March 15, 2023Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to our team.
I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked into the Clayton View Anthology. It was a comfortable and beautiful atmosphere. I wouldn't have guessed it was a senior community! They have gorgeous decor and their common spaces are well thought out. The residents that I saw were having fun being social and the food smelled and looked delicious. I noticed how the caregivers and staff were friendly to the people they were helping and the residents looked very well taken care of and happy. Had a great time and the event I attended and the pancakes were better than our local pancake house!

Response from Anthology of Clayton View
October 17, 2022Thank you for the wonderful review, Serena! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you.
They are short-staffed. They were losing my loved one's things - his laundry, his dishes. We were charged for products that we never received. And I still haven't been refund yet. The entire time we were with them, I never received a bill that was correct. I had to ask four times in the last month to pay my bill, but nobody would assist me. With each incorrect bill, they told me they would let me know once they figured out. Yet they were charging me late fees, due to their errors and delays. They did end up refunding the late fees due to their error, but I was frustrated by the fact that I was being charged them in the first place. The first bill they sent me in the mail was wrong by over $10,000. The next bill, the same thing each time. Every bill was inflated by at least $1000 over what it should be. They have a $2500 community fee, which is outrageous - what does that even go towards? When I call up there, especially on the weekends, no one is there to answer the phone. I leave messages and don't receive return phone calls. When I was there in person, I would see the staff, including the director, and they would try to rush away like they didn't see me so they didn't have to talk to me - [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed], in particular. The facility looks okay, but they are totally unorganized.

We have no complaints with Anthology of Clayton View, they people there do not just go through the motions of the day, they really do make an effort to not only to get to know our loved one on a personal level but get to know us as a family. They are always asking questions and giving us feedback and updated regarding out loved one. We really feel like she is getting that personal care and services and based on our experience we would recommend them to other families.

August 28, 2022Thank you for your review! We are pleased to read of your experience at Anthology of Clayton View. Providing exceptional care is always our top priority. We are honored your loved one has made her home with us!
We were extremely impressed with what we saw during our tour at Anthology of Clayton View. The facility had all of the bells and whistles. For example in the assisted living apartments instead of having laminate counter tops they had granite. Unfortunately it was just more money than we were able to afford.

May 20, 2022Thank you for your review and 5-star rating of Anthology of Clayton View! We understand we are not the best fit for everyone, but we truly appreciate your feedback. We are happy you have found us and welcome you to share your experience with family and friends.
My mother loved her short stay. Most staff was friendly 'experience'. The previous Executive Director couldn't handle the facility so too many things fall between the cracks. My mom's experience was good but from my perception no so much.

November 29, 2021Rose G, thank you for your review and feedback of Anthology of Clayton View. We are happy to hear that your mother had a great experience and would like to discuss your perception with you further. Please reach out to us at customersupport@anthologyseniorliving.com.
We love the Anthology of Clayton View community. We love seeing the interaction between the staff and residents. Every time we visit the staff members always talk to us, and they do a great job keeping us informed. Our loved one is able to eat in the dining room which is good. The staff are always very helpful. Even on our initial tour, the gentlemen who took us around was very informative, he did a great job explaining what to expect and we were even able to see the residents participating in the activities. We have nothing back to say about the community.

Friendly staff. Community areas including the enclosed courtyard, dining area, family gathering area and theater are beautiful. The units, though a little small, are well laid-out even for wheelchair residents other than kitchenette cabinetry. Shower benches included in all units. Transport is mainly via bus with wheelchair lift. Parking for visitors is adequate. Just a little pricey for the average budget.

My mother in law has transitioned very well since her move. The cleanliness is great, the place just opened may 1st. The meals are spectacular, they have a great chef. The presentation and dining room has been very elegant, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Moved my parents in a week ago. Staff friendliness and care, and resident friendliness are great. We love the decor and the spaciousness, especially the entrance, bistro, wide/high main hall, and dining area. The location near the bustling life of Clayton, Brentwood, and Richmond Heights, makes it seem much more "alive" than other A.L. facilities we visited. Residents seem quite happy, and the food is very good. I think they could improve a little in communication and organization of information, to make it easier for a senior citizen (who has trouble remembering things) to assimilate and get used to the new routines.

My father loves it here. He is enjoying all of the outings, they took the residents to see the lights at the park. They have a nice restaurant there with great food and a lot of arts and crafts activities. The place is beautiful and very clean. He's been in other communities before and he finally says he has found one that he can call home. When I have eaten with him, a lot of the other residents here have also said that they have moved from other communities and they are happy here.
