I didn’t like Amoroso Wellness at all. When we arrived for our scheduled tour, nobody acknowledge us. They kept looking at us and didn’t even say anything, which was a big turn-off.
This was a nice community. The community was slightly larger than we wanted for our loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and the community is beautiful, super nice and clean. However the memory care unit was just not exactly what we were looking for.
Amoroso provides a very welcoming homey feeling. It has been very good for my mom, and she feels at home there now A Place for Mom was so very helpful and knowledgeable in helping us find Amoroso. No pressure, just there to help.

We would recommend this community to other families, whenever there is a change in medication with our loved one or updated regarding covid they always give us a call so we appreciate their communication. We have not had a meal there ourselves, but our loved one seems to be happy with the food. They do go down to the dining hall to eat which we like - it helps keep our loved one mobile and helps with socialization. They do have activities and we like that they do not make the residents feel pressured into doing them - you can see all the activities on a piece of paper by the elevator. We consider the value for the money to be very good. l

Very happy with our choice to move my mother into this facility. She has been commenting about the great food, lots of activities and all the help she gets daily. Also told me she doesnt sit around watch TV all day like she used too. Made many new friends and loves being social with everyone. Very happy and best choice for us all. And communication between nurses and family is great also regarding medicine.

This is a great place for my loved one. The staff is nice. My father likes the activities, food, and just hanging out with his friends. I am very impressed with the great changes since it became Amoroso Wellness. The rent is lower than the others in the area. I am very happy to have found this for my father.

The staff are more than willing to attend to your needs right away. They keep the families well informed if anything is wrong or they see something out of the ordinary. If I have a request they get to it right away and call me back. They are very responsive and easy to work with. They seem to really want it to be a comfortable home for your loved ones. The value for the money is amazing. I would definitely recommend Amoroso Wellness.

Amoroso Wellness at York is a great facility and I would recommend them to other families. The staff are professional and they understand the situation, they are just very understaffed as everyone else is around the world.
I am very happy here at this community. They have activities for the residents to do like bingo, trivia and more to keep them busy and happy within the community.

We have felt that have done a very nice job so far, and when we do get to visit the opening room is quite nice. It seems to be very well kept clean, and when we visit our loved one her room is always in pretty good shape. They do have some activities but given the circumstances they still have not been able to maintain the same level of activities before the pandemic.

Nice people, but too short staffed regarding ratio of staff to residents. Could be cleaner, since it tends to smell like urine on the 2nd floor.

My father has been at The Brunswick at Longstown for over a month now and my mom and I are very pleased with the professionalism and kindness from the directors on down to the staff. It's also a very cozy atmosphere there as well, so it feels homey.

I met with [name removed] on [date removed] When I walked in I was greeted from staff members. While I was waiting, I spoke with multiple residence and they were all very happy. The rooms appear to be small for two but I feel it would work. I like the fact that they have multiple activities throughout the weekend, transportation to doctors appointment ECT . If a room was available I would highly consider.

Brunswick has been remodeled since my last visit a few years ago. Residents will need to use the elevator to move from their room to the floor with dining and activities, but the walk to the elevator is not long and the walk from the elevator to the other services is not far either. The rooms are larger than most with carpeting that is a color and not the normal beige. There are 2 large closets for all moms things. The biggest drawback are the bathrooms. They are small. Not sure mom can maneuver well with a walker. We will need to have her try that out. The bathroom doors open inward making it awkward. They should flip the doors to move outward. They offer to remove the door and place privacy curtain. Mom would not want that. The remodeled dining room is light and cheerful even in the evening. The menu looks better than any I have seen. The dinner menu is lighter but plenty of food. They offer 2 entree choices and have a long list of always available items to choose if the entrees dont appeal. I actually thought I was seeing the lunch menu which is the largest meal when I was looking at the dinner meal. The dinner meal is much more substantial than other places. This is on our list of finalist. If Mom can maneuver the smaller bathroom and can handle move to another floor for meals, etc, this would by favorite. The rooms will allow to bring a lot more of her things and clothes. And they are more cheerful than others.

Brunswick at Longstown is an excellent choice for our Mom.[Removed] is a great caring administrator. We found this place much superior than the older, but still nice, Autumn West. The best thing is a staff that you can trust. Their opinions were in the best interest of our Mother.she is in a semi- private memory care room. Only up to 20 folks in this area of care.

The care at this community is good. The staff is caring and the community is clean. The menu is appealing and they offer healthy variety. They do have activities that are available to the residents who are able to participate. We would recommend this community for the good care that if offered and the good value.
