Assisted living communities administer social events, care, and supervision to individuals around 65 years old. The types of service provided often include aid with activities of daily living. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include observe the swallowing of oral medications and provide medication administration. In total, there can be no more than 2 residents to a room. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 2. There must be one toilet for every 4 residents and one bath or shower for every 4 residents. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include intermittent nursing care, housekeeping, social activities, and assistance with transfer. Public assistance is available through the Medicaid 1915(c) Advantage Program, the Sooner Services Program, and the My Life My Choice Program. Staff are required to obtain education in a variety of subjects. These include: first-aid, residents’ specific needs, and cpr.
