These areas include staff training program based on the residents’ service plans, residents rights and responsibilities, first-aid, and reporting requirements and documentation. Public assistance is available through Medicaid State Plan. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include proper training of direct care workers to handle and administer medications, medication supervision and administration, and reminding a resident to maintain his/her medication schedule in accordance with the prescription.
