This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include preparation of prescribed medications, Medications may be administered under physician’s order by licensed nursing personnel or qualified medication aides, and resident must be observed for effects of medications and undesirable effects must be documented and the resident’s physician notified. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must meet daily dietary requirements and requests, communities must consider residents’ food allergies, communities must provide three meals a day, and meals must provide a balanced distribution of the daily nutritional requirements.
