These include: neglect prevention, promotion of dignity, hygiene, and self-determination. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include communities must provide three daily meals. The maximum occupancy is 1 residents per room. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 3. There must be one toilet for every 1 residents and one bath or shower for every residents. This type of community is required to have a staff member on duty 24 hours a day. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to guarantee their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as A comprehensive assessment, evaluation of a prospective resident’s cognitive condition, assessment must be updated by a physician annually or upon a significant change in condition, and provider must ensure that the resident and the resident’s representative, if any, are informed of the potential consequences of activities that the provider considers to pose risks to health and/or safety. Public assistance is available through A Medicaid 1915(c) waiver called the Supported Living Program and a 1915(b) waiver called the Managed Long-Term Services and Supports program. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include laundry, medication administration, housekeeping, and medication reminders.
